Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher certification policies in improving teacher professionalism at educational institutions, particularly at SMKN Ngambon. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving a certified Computer and Network Engineering teacher as the research subject. The findings indicate that teacher certification has a positive influence on improving teacher professionalism, especially in terms of discipline, responsibility, instructional innovation, and the ability to adapt to educational technology developments. Teacher certification also enhances teachers’ work motivation through professional allowances as a form of government appreciation for the teaching profession. However, the implementation of certification policies still faces several challenges, including heavy administrative workloads and additional responsibilities that may reduce the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, teacher certification policies should be supported by continuous professional development programs to improve the overall quality of education effectively.

Abstract

Cases of violence and bullying in schools still frequently occur and negatively affect students’ psychological conditions and educational quality. This study aims to describe and analyze the synergistic efforts between the Department of Education and schools in preventing and handling violence in the learning environment. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted at MI Islamiyah Kayulemah, Sumberjo District, Bojonegoro Regency from February to April 2026. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, homeroom teachers, and the Department of Education, as well as field observations and documentation related to the Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK). Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Department of Education acts as a regulator through child-friendly school policies, anti-bullying socialization programs, and strengthening the establishment of TPPK in schools. Meanwhile, schools implement these policies through character building, counseling services, student behavior supervision, and parental involvement in bullying prevention. This study concludes that synergy between the Department of Education, schools, and parents can create a safer and more comfortable learning environment for students.

Abstract

Government programs for teacher accreditation are designed to enhance the professional standing and well-being of instructors. This investigation seeks to ascertain how teacher accreditation contributes to elevating instructors' skill levels and the caliber of their performance, while also pinpointing difficulties encountered during its execution. The investigation employs a qualitative methodology, incorporating on-site investigations and examinations of existing texts. Information was gathered via discussions, direct observation, record examination, and scholarly article analysis. Methods for analyzing the gathered information encompassed data simplification, information display, and the formulation of conclusions. The findings suggest that the accreditation of teachers positively influences advancements in teaching skills, enthusiasm for work, adherence to rules, and the general welfare of educators. Accredited instructors demonstrate a greater inclination toward actively enhancing their professional proficiencies. Nevertheless, the process of accreditation continues to encounter various impediments, including intricate paperwork, training initiatives that lack practical applicability, and disparities in the distribution of financial incentives for professional development. Consequently, a reassessment and refinement of the accreditation strategy are required to ensure its more successful application and to foster enhancements in the overall quality of national education.

Abstract

Gender equality in education is an important aspect in creating a fair, inclusive, and humane educational system. This study aims to determine the implementation of educational politics and ethics in realizing gender equality at SMP Negeri 2 Plumpang. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with one of the teachers, Mrs. Ike, as the main informant. The results of the study indicate that the school has implemented the principles of gender equality through non-discriminatory policies, providing equal opportunities for students in both academic and non-academic activities, and applying educational ethics that emphasize justice and respect for every individual regardless of gender. In addition, the supporting factors for the implementation of gender equality include school policies, teachers’ awareness, support from the principal, an inclusive curriculum, and parental participation. However, there are still obstacles in the form of cultural stereotypes and public understanding that still differentiate the roles of men and women. Therefore, the implementation of educational politics and ethics has an important role in creating a school environment that is inclusive, safe, and supportive of the optimal development of students’ potential.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of political education values and Islamic boarding school ethics in shaping the leadership character of students at Adnan Al-Charish Islamic Boarding School. Political education within the pesantren environment plays a strategic role in forming students who possess ethical political understanding, polite social attitudes, and the ability to respond wisely to various social and political issues. In addition, pesantren ethics emphasizing obedience to Allah and teachers, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and simplicity serve as essential foundations in developing students’ leadership character. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research methods. The data sources were obtained from various literature materials, including books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant documents related to the research topic. Data analysis techniques were conducted through data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Adnan Al-Charish Islamic Boarding School integrates political education values through student organizational activities, deliberation practices, religious studies, and the exemplary leadership of the kiai in daily life. Furthermore, pesantren ethical values such as honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, and simplicity are implemented as efforts to shape students’ leadership character. However, several challenges remain, including students’ limited understanding of practical politics and the influence of external social environments. This study concludes that the implementation of political education values and pesantren ethics contributes significantly to the formation of students’ leadership character. Therefore, continuous strengthening and development of these values are necessary to create a generation of students who possess integrity, noble character, and strong leadership qualities.
