Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Discovery Learning model integrated with the Card Match Circle media in improving students’ learning activeness in Fiqh at MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung. The research was motivated by the low level of student participation, characterized by limited interaction with learning materials, the dominance of conventional teaching methods, and low learning motivation. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control group design, involving an experimental class that received Discovery Learning assisted by Card Match Circle and a control class that continued using conventional methods. The research instrument was a learning activeness questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability testing with a reliability coefficient of 0.876, while data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The results revealed a significant difference between the two classes, where the experimental class achieved a higher mean score of learning activeness (73.96) compared to the control class (64.73) with a significance value of 0.006 (<0.05). These findings indicate that the integration of Discovery Learning and Card Match Circle effectively enhances students’ participation in discussions, questioning, responding, and collaboration, while highlighting the novelty of combining a discovery-based strategy with interactive game-based media in Fiqh learning at the MTs level. Therefore, this model has the potential to serve as an innovative and contextual alternative to improve the quality of Islamic education learning. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning yang dipadukan dengan media Card Match Circle dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Fiqih di MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung. Studi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya partisipasi peserta didik yang terlihat dari minimnya interaksi dengan materi, dominasi pembelajaran konvensional, serta kurangnya motivasi belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan desain post-test only control group, melibatkan kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan Card Match Circle dan kelas kontrol yang tetap menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket keaktifan belajar yang telah lolos uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,876, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas, di mana rata-rata keaktifan belajar kelas eksperimen (73,96) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (64,73) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,006 (<0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Discovery Learning dan Card Match Circle efektif meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik dalam diskusi, bertanya, menjawab, serta kerja sama, sekaligus menegaskan kebaruan penelitian melalui penggabungan strategi penemuan dengan media permainan interaktif pada pembelajaran Fiqih tingkat MTs, sehingga model ini berpotensi menjadi alternatif inovatif dan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam.
