Abstract

The ability to write scientific papers is a fundamental competency for academics, yet many students face cognitive and technical barriers in producing high-quality reports. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a participatory training program in improving the scientific writing skills of vocational tourism students. A participatory training and mentoring approach was implemented, involving lecture methods, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of systematic report structures, citation ethics, and synchronization between research problems and conclusions. Results show that 100% of participants could construct a logical framework, with 85% expressing readiness for publication. Intensive mentoring and structured training are crucial in bridging the gap between academic theory and industrial practice in the tourism sector
