Abstract

The moral degradation of students in the digital era demands contextual character education approaches rooted in local wisdom. This study aims to produce an integrative Family Supported Collaborative Learning (FSCL) model based on Bugis philosophical values that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the character of elementary school students in Bone Regency. A qualitative approach with a narrative review design was employed, synthesizing indexed national and international literature published between 2021–2026 from Google Scholar, SINTA, and DOAJ databases. Findings reveal that FSCL effectively establishes structural synergy between schools and families in character internalization, while the values of sipakatau, sipakalebbi, sipakainge, and siri' na pacce are proven relevant as cultural foundations for authentic character formation. This integrative model satisfies criteria of conceptual validity, curricular practicality, and character impact effectiveness. It is concluded that the Bugis philosophy-based FSCL model constructs a holistic and contextual character education ecosystem. Further empirical testing through R&D or quasi-experimental approaches in Bone Regency elementary schools is strongly recommended.
