Abstract

Empowerment through entrepreneurship is an effective solution for improving economic well-being. Dharma Wanita of the Maluku Region XX Cultural Preservation Center faces the challenge of its members’ lack of self-confidence in starting a business. The objective of this community service initiative is to provide knowledge and motivation to the executives and members of Dharma Wanita Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan Wilayah XX Maluku regarding the importance of personal branding for women to appear confident, authentic, and influential in building their own businesses, as well as to motivate participants to dare to be independent, seek inspiration, and realize their dreams in entrepreneurship. This community service program was carried out in several stages: the planning and preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. A comparison of the final interviews with the initial interviews revealed that participants gained an understanding of the importance of personal branding, their motivation to start a business increased, and they recognized the importance of brand strengthening.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to integrate intellectual capital into the development of human resource capacity within the local wisdom based handicraft business team of the DAWIS Asoka Women’s Economic Empowerment Group in Dusun Dondong, Tegaltirto, Berbah, Sleman. The program focuses on strengthening human capital, structural capital, and relational capital through training and mentoring on the utilization of pipe cleaners as raw materials for economically valuable handicraft products. The implementation method consists of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The results indicate improvements in the knowledge, skills, and creativity of group members in producing handicraft products such as decorative flowers and ornaments based on local wisdom. This activity contributes to women’s economic empowerment while supporting the preservation of local wisdom through the development of community- based handicraft enterprises.
