<![CDATA[The Low mathematics achievement among students remains a major issue in education, influenced by internal factors such as learning motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on the mathematics achievement of ninth-grade students at UPTD SMPN 6 Kupang Tengah Satu Atap. This study employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. The study population consisted of 9th-grade students at UPTD SMPN 6 Kupang Tengah Satu Atap, and the sample comprised 48 students selected using saturated purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through a learning motivation questionnaire and documentation of mathematics achievement scores. The results indicated that learning motivation has a positive effect on mathematics achievement, with a correlation coefficient of 0.374. The simple linear regression equation obtained is Y = 70.767 + 0.139X, meaning that a one-unit increase in learning motivation increases mathematics achievement by 0.139. The coefficient of determination of 14% indicates that learning motivation contributes 14% to mathematics achievement, while 86% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that learning motivation has a significant effect on mathematics achievement. Thus, the higher the students’ learning motivation, the he higher the mathematics learning achievement they attain. ABSTRAK Rendahnya prestasi belajar matematika siswa masih menjadi permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal yaitu motivasi belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas IX di UPTD SMPN 6 Kupang Tengah Satap. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linear sederhana. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX UPTD SMPN 6 Kupang Tengah Satap dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 48 siswa dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket motivasi belajar dan dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,374. Persamaan regresi linear sederhana yang dipeoleh yaitu , yang berarti setiap peningkatan satu satuan motivasi belajar akan meningkatkan prestasi belajar sebesar 0,139. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 14% menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 14 % terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, sedangkan 86% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai yang signifikansi sebesar 0,009 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula prestasi belajar matematika yang dicapai.]]>
