Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intellegent (AI) has fundamentally transformed various dimensions of contemporary human life, including economics, education, communication, and religious practices. While AI provides unprecedented oppurtunities for efficiency, innovation and knowledge production, it also raises profound philosophical and spiritual conserns regarding the nature of humanity, meaning, and transcendence. This article examines the implication of AI development through the lens of perennial philoshophy, particularly the ideas of Rene Guenon, Frithjof Schuoen, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study analyzes classical perennial text alongside contemporary literature on AI, digital culture, and spirituality. The findings reveal that AI represent the culmination of modern rationality and contributes to the increasing desacralitzation of human consciousness. The emergence of algorithmic  society, digital spirituality, and transhumanist discourse reflects a broader crisis of meaning rooted in the separation of knowledge from trancendent reality. From a perennial perspective, the challenge posed by AI is not merely technological but fundamentally metaphysical and spiritual. The study argues that the future of humanity depends on the integration of technological innovation with spiritual wisdom. Perennial philosophy offers an alternative frame work reconstructing spirituality in the digital age by reaffirming the secred dimension of knowledge, strengthening contemplative practices, and promoting a value-based ethics of technology. Ultimately, AI should serve humanity's spiritual flourishing rather than become the dominant orientation of civilization.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the thrift business in Indonesia, along with the use of Instagram as a digital marketing platform, underscores the urgency of examining content strategies in building brand awareness and their alignment with ethical values. This study aims to analyze Instagram content of @Cutie.Pas in building brand awareness for the thrift business while reviewing its promotional practices from the perspective of Islamic business ethics. Employing a qualitative approach with netnography method, non-participant online observation was conducted on the @Cutie.Pas Instagram account during October–December 2026, analyzing 416 posts and audience interactions based on brand awareness indicators and Islamic business ethics principles. The findings reveal that @Cutie.Pas content builds brand awareness through three mechanisms: brand recognition through visual consistency, brand association formation through product presentation style, and brand recall reinforcement through audience interaction. From the Islamic business ethics perspective, promotional content demonstrates relative conformity through transparent product information disclosure, inclusion of item conditions to avoid gharar (deception), fair pricing, and responsiveness to audience questions as a manifestation of amanah (trustworthiness). This study concludes that @Cutie.Pas Instagram content not only effectively contributes to building brand awareness but also represents thrift business practices aligned with the principles of honesty (shiddiq), justice ('adl), transparency, and social responsibility within the framework of Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

The post-truth era has transformed the authority of religious knowledge and intensified the polarization of Qur'anic interpretation in digital spaces between excessively literalist and overly contextualist approaches. This study aims to critically examine the epistemological foundations of these two interpretive paradigms, evaluate the relevance of Fazlur Rahman's Double Movement method as a via media, and formulate a philosophically robust methodological reconstruction for the digital age. Employing a qualitative library research design with a philosophical hermeneutic approach and Critical Hermeneutics analysis, this study examines Rahman's primary works alongside contemporary hermeneutical literature. The findings reveal that literalist scripturalism neglects the historical and social context of revelation, whereas radical contextualism tends to relativize the normative meaning of the Qur'an. Fazlur Rahman's Double Movement method offers a mediating alternative by fostering a dialogical engagement between text and context. Nevertheless, the method remains constrained by its assumption of historical objectivity, which overlooks the interpreter's pre-understanding and historical consciousness. This study therefore proposes a reconstruction of the Double Movement method into a dialogical-critical model. The proposed model integrates critical reflection on the digital era, dialogue between the text and the interpreter, and Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutical framework. Accordingly, this reconstructed model is expected to assist contemporary interpreters in addressing digital misinformation while preserving the universal values of the Qur'an.
