Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengajaran mata kuliah Eco Art terhadap perkembangan teknologi di Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta); (2) mengetahui manfaat pengajaran mata kuliah Eco Art; dan (3) mengetahui tantangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi dalam pengajaran mata kuliah Eco Art terhadap perkembangan teknologi di ISI Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendorong pengembangan metode pengajaran yang inovatif dan adaptif dengan tuntutan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi saat proses pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, dilakukan wawancara dengan pengajar dan mahasiswa. Subjek studi kasus ini yaitu mahasiswa di Prodi Seni Murni ISI Yogyakarta. Untuk mendukung kelengkapan data, dilakukan studi dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pengajaran mata kuliah Eco Art terhadap teknologi di ISI Yogyakarta terlaksana dalam (1) penanaman konsep, (2) pengaplikasian dalam karya, dan (3) evaluasi. Manfaat pengajaran eco art terhadap perkembangan teknologi dapat dirasakan dalam segi inovasi teknologi, kolaborasi lintas ilmu, metode pembelajaran, dan kesadaran lingkungan. Tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pengajaran eco art terhadap teknologi muncul dalam aspek akademik, teknologi, sosial-budaya, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Sementara, hambatan yang dihadapi yaitu dari segi teknis, struktural, dan sosial-budaya.Kata kunci: seni; eco art; perkembangan teknologi; pendidikan---Analysis of Eco Art Course Teaching in Relation to Technological Development: A Case Study at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. This study aims to (1) examine the teaching of the Eco Art course in relation to technological development at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta); (2) identify the benefits of teaching the Eco Art course; and (3) determine the challenges and obstacles encountered in teaching the Eco Art course in relation to technological development at ISI Yogyakarta. This research is expected to encourage the development of innovative and adaptive teaching methods that respond to the demands of contemporary progress. This study employs descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation during the learning process, followed by interviews with instructors and students. The subjects of this case study were students enrolled in the Fine Arts Study Programme at ISI Yogyakarta. Documentation and literature studies were also conducted to support the completeness of the data. The findings indicate that the teaching process of the Eco Art course in relation to technology at ISI Yogyakarta is carried out through (1) concept introduction, (2) application in artworks, and (3) evaluation. The benefits of eco art teaching in relation to technological development can be seen in the areas of technological innovation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, learning methods, and environmental awareness. Challenges encountered in teaching eco art in relation to technology emerge across academic, technological, socio-cultural, economic, and environmental dimensions. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced are of a technical, structural, and socio-cultural nature.Keywords: art; eco art; technological development; education
