<![CDATA[Desa Gentan terletak di Kecamatan Baki, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah merupakan daerah pedesaan yang gencar terhadap penanganan masalah sampah. Dengan program yang dicanangkan “Menuju Kebangkitan Ekonomi Desa Mandiri Sampah”, Desa Gentan melakukan upaya pembuatan TPS 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dan Gerakan Gelipah (Gentan Peduli Sampah). Dalam mendukung program tersebut, kelompok KKN UNS 122 melalui pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk mengoptimalkan serta mengenalkan teknologi pirolisis sebagai solusi inovatif. Proses pirolisis dilakukan menggunakan bahan baku ban bekas dan sampah plastik. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa minyak dan tar. Pirolisis ban bekas menghasilkan produk minyak yang lebih banyak dibandingkan pirolisis plastik. Minyak pirolisis (MP) yang dihasilkan berupa campuran bensin, solar, dan minyak tanah. Uji nyala menunjukkan bahwa seluruh MP dapat terbakar kecuali MP Ban Jeriken Atas (Ban J2). Produk MP ban bekas dan sampah plastik dapat menjadi bahan bakar alternatif. Optimalisasi kondisi pirolisis dan perbaikan alat pirolisis di Desa Gentan perlu dilakukan untuk memaksimalkan hasil yang diperoleh. Pengembangan teknologi pirolisis di Desa Gentan berpotensi sebagai solusi inovatif dalam menangani masalah sampah dan dapat membuka peluang baru dalam industri bahan bakar alternatif. Gentan, located in the Baki District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, is a rural area actively addressing waste management issues. With the initiated program “Towards the Rise of Self-Reliant Waste Economy in the Village”, Gentan Village has undertaken efforts to establish #R TPS (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and the Gelipah Movement (Gentan Cares for Waste). In support of this program, the UNS 122 Community Service Program group, through community service, aims to optimize and introduce pyrolysis technology as an innovative solution. The pyrolysis process is conducted using used tires and plastic waste as raw materials. The results obtained include oil and tar, with tire pyrolysis producing more oil compared to plastic pyrolysis. The pyrolysis oil (PO) produced is a mixture of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Flame tests indicate that all POs are combustible except for the Upper Jeriken Tire Oil (Tire J2). The products form tire and plastic waste pyrolysis have the potential to become alternative fuels. Optimization of pyrolysis conditions and improvements to the pyrolysis equipment in Gentan need to be carried out to maximize the obtained results. The development of pyrolysis technology in Gentan Village has the potential as an innovative solution to address waste issues and may open new opportunities in the alternative fuel industry. ]]>
