Abstract

Pendidikan keagamaan sejak dini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk pemahaman dan karakter religius peserta didik. Artikel ini membahas pelaksanaan kegiatan edukasi mengenai pentingnya ibadah haji dan umrah di SDN 01 Batang Palupuh, sebuah sekolah dasar di wilayah pedesaan yang memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan keagamaan terkait ibadah haji dan umrah. Keterbatasan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang keluarga siswa yang sebagian besar belum pernah melaksanakan kedua ibadah tersebut. Kegiatan edukasi ini dilaksanakan melalui metode penyampaian materi secara interaktif dan simulasi sederhana pelaksanaan ibadah haji untuk memberikan gambaran konkret kepada siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap pengertian, tata cara pelaksanaan, serta nilai-nilai spiritual yang terkandung dalam ibadah haji dan umrah. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga berdampak positif terhadap motivasi keagamaan siswa dan berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter religius sejak usia dini. Dengan demikian, edukasi dan simulasi ibadah haji dan umrah dapat menjadi metode pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan siswa sekolah dasar, khususnya di wilayah pedesaan. Religious education from an early age plays an important role in shaping students’ understanding and religious character. This article discusses the implementation of an educational activity on the importance of Hajj and Umrah at SDN 01 Batang Palupuh, an elementary school located in a rural area with limited religious knowledge related to Hajj and Umrah practices. This limitation is influenced by the family backgrounds of the students, most of whom have never performed either pilgrimage. The educational activity was conducted through interactive material delivery and simple simulations of Hajj rituals to provide students with a concrete and contextual understanding of the worship practices. The results of the activity indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of the meaning, procedures, and spiritual values embodied in Hajj and Umrah. In addition, the activity had a positive impact on students’ religious motivation and contributed to the formation of religious character from an early age. Therefore, educational activities combined with simulations of Hajj and Umrah rituals can serve as an effective learning method for enhancing religious understanding among elementary school students, particularly in rural areas
