Abstract

Abstrak — Kegiatan monitoring berita di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Jambi masih dilakukan secara manual dengan cara memindai koran cetak dan menyusunnya menggunakan Microsoft Word. Proses tersebut memerlukan waktu yang relatif lama, rentan terhadap kesalahan penginputan data, menyulitkan pencarian berita, serta menyebabkan pengelolaan informasi menjadi kurang efisien. Selain itu, proses pembuatan ringkasan dan pengelompokan sentimen berita masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga meningkatkan beban kerja pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun Aplikasi Kliping Berita Koran Digital Berbasis Website menggunakan metode Prototype pada Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Jambi serta mengetahui kesesuaian fungsionalitas dan tingkat penerimaan pengguna terhadap sistem yang dikembangkan. Metode Prototype digunakan karena memungkinkan keterlibatan pengguna secara aktif dalam setiap tahapan pengembangan sistem. Tahapan penelitian meliputi communication, quick plan, modelling quick design, construction of prototype, serta deployment, delivery and feedback. Sistem dikembangkan berbasis website menggunakan framework Laravel dan database MySQL dengan fitur pengelolaan data koran, pengelolaan berita, ekstraksi teks menggunakan Tesseract OCR, ringkasan berita otomatis, analisis sentimen otomatis, pencarian berita, pengelolaan laporan, serta pengelolaan profil pengguna. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan Black Box Testing dan User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan pengujian Black Box Testing. Selain itu, hasil UAT menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan pengguna sebesar 89,20% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, aplikasi yang dikembangkan mampu membantu proses monitoring, pengelolaan, pencarian, dan pelaporan berita secara lebih efektif, efisien, dan terstruktur pada Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Jambi. Kata kunci : Kliping Berita Digital; Website, Prototype; Tesseract OCR; Ringkasan Berita Otomatis; Analisis Sentimen; User Acceptance Testing;   Abstract - News monitoring activities at the Communication and Informatics Office of Jambi Province are still carried out manually by scanning printed newspapers and compiling them using Microsoft Word. This process requires considerable time, is prone to data entry errors, complicates news retrieval, and results in inefficient information management. In addition, news summarization and sentiment classification are still performed manually, increasing the workload of employees. This study aims to develop a Web-Based Digital Newspaper Clipping Application using the Prototype method at the Communication and Informatics Office of Jambi Province and to evaluate the system's functional suitability and user acceptance level. The Prototype method was selected because it enables active user involvement throughout the system development process. The research stages consisted of communication, quick plan, modeling quick design, construction of prototype, and deployment, delivery and feedback. The system was developed as a web-based application using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, featuring newspaper data management, news management, text extraction using Tesseract OCR, automatic news summarization, automatic sentiment analysis, news search, report management, and user profile management. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results indicate that all system functions operated according to the specified requirements based on Black Box Testing. Furthermore, the UAT results showed a user acceptance score of 89.20%, which falls into the very good category. Therefore, the developed application is capable of supporting news monitoring, management, retrieval, and reporting processes more effectively, efficiently, and systematically at the Communication and Informatics Office of Jambi Province.
