Abstract

Banana commodities in Awang Bangkal Barat Village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency, are widely cultivated on farmers' lands. In this area, banana plants are grown on land adjacent to the farmers' rubber plantations. The yield of banana production in Awang Bangkal Barat Village is generally sold by the community in the form of whole banana bunches, without any added value. In fact, through processing, bananas have great potential to increase farmers' income. Banana as a food source is a source of energy (carbohydrates) that can be utilized as contemporary food preparations, one example of which is processing bananas into sale pisang (banana crisps/slices). Sale pisang is a snack made from bananas mixed with wheat flour and milk. The target partner group for this community service is the Farmers' Group in Awang Bangkal Barat Village. The Farmers' Group in this area has the potential for a substantial availability of bananas. The banana commodities cultivated by the Farmers' Group in Awang Bangkal Barat Village are planted on farmers' own land. Thus far, all members of the Farmers' Group in Awang Bangkal Barat Villagehave only utilized the banana crops in the form of the fruit to be sold directly without processing. This community service was conducted at the Farmers Group in Sungai Batang Village, West Martapura District, Banjar Regency, 17 Juni 2026. The method used in this service activity was the Community Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR) Method. The results of this service activity indicate that 100% of the members of the Farmers Group in Awang Bangkal Barat Village can practice making banana Sales independently

Abstract

They do not yet know the benefits of the banana tuber, so that a lot of banana tuber waste is often thrown away because no one can process this banana tuber, the community cannot process it because of their lack of knowledge about the benefits of the banana tuber. In fact, this banana tuber has many benefits, one of which is that it can stabilize Blood Sugar. Banana tubers are the lower part of the banana stem which is usually thrown away or not used, whereas the banana tree itself is often found in this location. In order for the banana stem to be useful for the community in improving their health, we make it as a raw material for making chips. so that counseling was carried out on making chips from this banana stem, where the results can be concluded that the people of Sungai Bakar Village or the participants like the chips that are made, they like the taste, color, texture and aroma. In addition, making chips from banana stems is very easy because we only provide banana stems and other flavoring ingredients, these banana stems must be cut thinly so that the spices that have been mixed into the banana stems can be absorbed well so that the chips from these banana stems taste seasoned

Abstract

Utilizing yard land will provide benefits for family life, such as: a source of food and also as a source of income. A yard is an open area around a residence. Utilizing yard land will provide benefits for family life such as a source of food. A large yard will provide more space for planting. If you have a large yard, methods you can use include planting directly in the ground (beds), which can be combined using pots, polybags and verticulture. However, in a narrow yard, what can be done is to plant using planting media such as pots, polybags and verticulture and agricultural technology that can be applied to utilize yard land with hydroponic technology. The use of home gardens in the Joint Farming Group in Padang Luas Village, Kurau District, Tanah Laut Regency is one of the places that can be used by the community for various activities. One of the activities that can be done to utilize empty yard space is to use it for farming. Farming can not only be done in rice fields but can also be done in the yard of the house. So that it can increase community awareness regarding the use of home gardens which is still low. This can be seen by the large number of house yards that are not used and are left alone. So by utilizing this yard land, it means that you will be able to channel all the creativity and pleasure or hobbies of all members of the Farmer Group together and their family members. The main element in utilizing the yard is plants, whether they are horticultural plants, medicines, herbs, spices and especially vegetable plants
