Abstract

Kebiasaan sarapan pagi memiliki peran penting dalam menunjang konsentrasi belajar siswa, namun masih banyak siswa sekolah dasar yang melewatkan sarapan sebelum mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi dan tingkat konsentrasi belajar pada siswa sekolah dasar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN 13 Kota Jambi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 84 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Kebiasaan sarapan diukur menggunakan kuesioner kebiasaan sarapan, sedangkan konsentrasi belajar diukur menggunakan Grid Concentration Test. Analisis data menggunakan uji Kendall’s Tau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki kebiasaan sarapan dalam kategori cukup (63,1%) dan konsentrasi belajar dalam kategori cukup (51,2%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi dan tingkat konsentrasi belajar (p = 0,000; r = 0,407). Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi dan konsentrasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Breakfast habits play an important role in supporting students’ learning concentration; however, many elementary school students tend to skip breakfast before attending school activities. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between breakfast habits and learning concentration among elementary school students. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, involving 84 students from SDN 13 Kota Jambi selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Breakfast habits were measured using a breakfast habit questionnaire while learning concentration was assessed using the Grid Concentration Test. Data were analyzed using Kendall’s Tau test. The results showed that most students had fair breakfast habits (63.1%) and fair levels of learning concentration (51.2%). A statistically significant relationship was found between breakfast habits and learning concentration (p= 0.000; r= 0.407). A positive and significant relationship exists between breakfast habits and learning concentration among elementary school students.
