Abstract

The swift advancement of digital technology has introduced financial innovations like Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL). This payment method has become particularly popular among Generation Z, largely due to its promise of convenience and flexibility in online shopping. However, the widespread adoption of BNPL raises major concerns, especially regarding its implications for Generation Z's consumer behavior when viewed from an Islamic economic perspective. These concerns include impulse buying, the risk of excessive and unproductive debt accumulation, and potential conflicts with core Islamic principles such as the avoidance of waste and the prohibition of riba (interest). To mitigate these issues, it's crucial to improve financial literacy among Generation Z. We also need to ensure more transparency from BNPL providers, implement stricter regulations, and encourage responsible money management in line with Islamic principles. Keywords: Buy Now Pay Later, Generation Z, Islamic Economy

Abstract

This study aims to strengthen and continuing previous studies on Islamic economic philosophy by emphasizing the central role of the philosophy of monotheism (Tauhid) as the fundamental basis for sustainable sharia economic development in the future, especially in the face of Financial Technology (Fintech) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Unlike previous studies that mainly focused on normative and institutional aspects, this research focuses on integrating the values of monotheism across all epistemological, ontological, and axiological dimensions of Islamic economics to overcome contemporary digital challenges such as cybersecurity risks, data breaches, and algorithmic bias. Through careful literature review and content analysis, the study concludes that the principle of monotheism is not only a theological foundation but also an ethical and rational guide for utilizing digital technology. These guidelines must be based on the values of justice (Al-Adl), balance (Tawazun), public welfare (Maslahah), and harmony with the principles of Maqashid Syariah. Therefore, this study is expected to provide a new direction for building a sustainable Sharia economy and preserving Islamic values in the digital age. Keywords : Fintech, Islamic Economics, Maqasid al-Sharia, Tawhid Philosophy

Abstract

Halal inventory management within the supply chain faces critical challenges regarding Gharar (uncertainty) risks, which can undermine product integrity and the validity of muamalah contracts. This research aims to formulate a halal inventory management strategy as a mitigation mechanism for Gharar risks within the framework of Sharia Supply Chain Management (SSCM). The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), analyzing indexed scientific literature and authoritative Sharia sources from 2020-2025. The results indicate that quality and quantity Gharar risks in warehousing can be effectively mitigated through the integration of modern operational strategies and Sharia principles. Key findings include the effectiveness of physical segregation to prevent ikhtilath, the application of Just-in-Time (JIT) philosophy to ensure Thayyib principles, and the use of traceability technology to ensure transparency (bayan) of product origin. This study concludes that Sharia-based inventory management is not merely formal regulatory compliance but a strategic model to ensure transactional fairness and blessings across the halal value chain. Keywords : Halal Inventory Management, Sharia Supply Chain (SSCM), Gharar Risk, Traceability
