Abstract

livelihood diversification, marine resource conditions, and environmental and climate pressures on the welfare of fishing families amidst the blue economy transformation. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach to 78 fisher respondents. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination using SPSS. The results showed that access to capital and livelihood diversification had a positive and significant effect on the welfare of fishing families. Marine resource conditions and environmental and climate pressures also had a significant effect on fishermen's welfare. Simultaneously, all independent variables influenced the welfare of fishing families with a coefficient of determination of 27.3%. This study concluded that the welfare of fishing families was influenced by socioeconomic and ecological factors. Therefore, policy support in the form of access to capital, alternative business development, and sustainable management of marine resources was needed to improve the welfare of fishing communities.
