Abstract

Wealth distribution inequality and persistent social disparities indicate that economic growth has not fully succeeded in creating equitable welfare. This condition highlights the importance of implementing the concept of justice in the Islamic economic system as a foundation for achieving equitable economic development based on Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the concept of justice in the Islamic economic system, its underlying principles, and its implementation within the Indonesian economic context. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from the Qur'an, Hadith, books, and relevant scholarly articles, and were analyzed using content analysis to identify key concepts and relationships. The findings reveal that justice is a fundamental principle of the Islamic economic system, reflected in equitable wealth distribution, ethical market mechanisms, and the optimization of Islamic financial instruments, including zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and profit-sharing schemes. The study concludes that the implementation of justice in the Islamic economic system has the potential to promote equitable welfare, reduce social inequality, and support inclusive and sustainable economic development.
