Abstract

Analyze potential hazards or risks in the work environment of a company to take handling actions and anticipate them. In this problem, Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) is considered an appropriate tool in identifying risks because it is able to identify hazards that occur in companies or the potential for work accidents in pipe test activities in mobile bunkers. The method used in this study to analyze work accidents is HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) because this method is able to raise the potential for accidents in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of work accident that is dominant in pressure test treating iron activities with bunker pressure test fabrication. Based on the results of HAZOP analysis, this study shows that the most common potential danger is the use and condition of non-standard hammers that cause splashes and hit the eye to irritate. While the potential hazard that has the highest risk with the result of death is Treating iron rupture on workers. Then the operational cost of pipe tests is much more economical using mobile bunker tests. While the operational costs of pipe testing in mobile bunkers are more economical, more effective, work safety is higher and the potential hazards are lower than operational costs in permanent bunkers. Then the existence of mobile bunkers is more efficient in pipe testing activities than testing in conventional bunkers.
