Abstract

21st-century physics learning requires students to possess critical thinking skills; however, the assessment instruments used in schools are still dominated by conventional questions that have not optimally measured these skills, particularly in the topic of parabolic motion. In addition, the use of technology in learning assessment has not been maximized. This study aims to analyze the practicality of electronic assessment in measuring students’ critical thinking skills on parabolic motion material. This research is a development study using the Plomp model, limited to the development stage, namely the practicality test. The practicality test was conducted through one-to-one evaluation and small-group evaluation involving tenth-grade students and physics teachers at SMAN 1 Padang Ganting. The data collection instrument was a practicality questionnaire using a Likert scale covering aspects of ease of use, attractiveness, efficiency, and usefulness. The results show that the electronic assessment has a very high level of practicality, with an overall average score of 89.3%. Therefore, the developed electronic assessment is feasible to be used as an assessment instrument to measure students’ critical thinking skills effectively, efficiently, and attractively in the topic of parabolic motion.
