Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the existing literature on Agile Human Resource Management (AHRM) and identify its role in enhancing organizational adaptability in the digital era, as well as to explore future research directions in this field. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Articles were collected from four academic databases, namely Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar. A total of 445 articles were initially identified, and after the screening, eligibility, and inclusion processes, 60 articles were selected for qualitative synthesis. The review indicates that Agile Human Resource Management plays a significant role in improving organizational adaptability by promoting workforce agility, organizational agility, digital competencies, continuous learning, employee empowerment, and faster decision-making. However, successful implementation depends on leadership commitment, organizational culture, employee readiness, and digital transformation capabilities. Agile Human Resource Management has become a strategic human resource management approach that enables organizations to respond effectively to rapid technological and environmental changes. Integrating agile principles into HR practices enhances organizational resilience, innovation, and long-term competitiveness in the digital era. This review was limited to articles indexed in Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar and employed a qualitative synthesis without bibliometric or meta-analysis techniques. This study contributes to the development of human resource management literature by providing a comprehensive synthesis of Agile Human Resource Management and organizational adaptability. The findings offer practical insights for managers and policymakers in designing adaptive HR strategies and provide future research directions related to Artificial Intelligence, HR Analytics, and digital leadership.
