Abstract

The suboptimal role of human resources in the preparation and management of digital promotional media has an impact on the suboptimal production of design-based digital promotional media products. The purpose of this community service is to develop design-based digital promotional media in the form of an English Guide Book, a souvenir-making tour package program, a bilingual brochure (English and Indonesian), and a tourist calendar. The implementation method is through promotional media preparation workshop activities and collaboration in preparing the media. The subjects of this community service are 14 tourism business actors at Sanggar Wayang Gogon. Data acquisition uses observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of this community service indicate that the participants have known, understood, and used design-based digital promotional media for goods and services; this community service is able to help participants overcome difficulties in creating attractive and up-to-date digital promotional media; and the participants are able to create an English Guide Book, a souvenir-making tour package program, a bilingual brochure, and a tourist calendar. The conclusion is that the theory and practice of creating digital promotional media increase the experience and contribution of art tourism business actors in producing promotional media products. This service has implications for improving the skills of the Sanggar Wayang Gogon tourism business actors in compiling English Guide Books, souvenir-making tour package programs, bilingual brochures, and tourism calendars.
