Abstract

Motivation is a desire or desire that arises from within to achieve goals by each individual or group so that plans that are embedded in the heart will be encouraged to be carried out quickly to the maximum. Student learning motivation is influenced by the learning media used by the teacher and the appropriate methods and models for conveying material. The purpose of this study was to find out the Increase in Students' Speaking Motivation by Applying the Role Play Model in Class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The use of this research is to see how to increase students' speaking motivation by implementing the Role Play Model in Class XI IPA at SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. The methodology used in this study is Classroom Action Research, collecting data using observation and interview methods in class. Data processing techniques in this study used descriptive qualitative analysis techniques for data in the form of documents on student work, lists of student scores, observation sheets, and questionnaires. While the research problem is the use of role-playing models can improve the English students' speaking skills in class XI IPA of SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. The results showed that with the Role Play Model in a fun learning atmosphere, student learning outcomes increased by 14.31%. It was concluded that the role-playing model could improve the speaking skills of English students at SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

The aim of classroom action research (PTK) is to find out whether reward and punishment can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 35/VI Seling, Tabir District, Merangin Regency. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research carried out involved 20 students of SDN 35 / VI Seling, Tabir District, Merangin Regency, 10 of whom were girls and 10 were boys. Data collection methods are observation and testing. The data obtained was then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the research showed that fifth grade students at SD Negeri 35 / VI, Tabir District, Seling Village experienced an increase in mathematics learning outcomes by using reward and punishment. Based on the average score of mathematics learning outcomes in the Pre-cycle students who completed it were 8 students (40%). In cycle I the average student mathematics learning outcome score was 12 students (60%), and in cycle II the average student mathematics learning outcome score was 19 students (95%). Apart from that, observation data from each cycle shows that students' attitudes have improved. Based on this analysis, it was determined that the reward and punishment approach could improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 35/VI Seling, Tabir District, Merangin Regency.

Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate how effective differentiated instruction is in enhancing the reading abilities of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 243/VI Bungo Tanjung. The study utilized a classroom action research (CAR) approach, implemented across two cycles of learning. The study involved 12 students from the fourth grade. Data collection methods included reading assessments, classroom observations, interviews, and document reviews. Findings showed a notable improvement in students’ reading performance after applying differentiated instruction, with average reading scores rising from 50% in the initial cycle to 75% in the subsequent cycle. Additionally, the learning environment became more dynamic, and students demonstrated increased enthusiasm toward learning. These results suggest that differentiated instruction effectively supports the development of reading skills among fourth graders at SD Negeri 243/VI Bungo Tanjung.
