Abstract

Abstrak Pendahuluan: Pelaksanaan payudara sendiri (SADARI) sangatlah penting pada semua wanita dikarenakan pelaksanaan SADARI merupakan cara sederhana menemukan  sedini mungkin terdapatnya benjolan pada payudara, terutama yang dicurigai keganasan. Khususnya pada remaja putri dimana masih banyak merasa malu dan risih atau merasa belum terlalu penting untuk melaksanakan SADARI. Ada beberapa mahasiswi kesehatan ditemukan datang bertanya kepada dosen bagaiman upaya selanjutnya setelah mengetahui kalau dirinya mempunyai benjolan pada payudara dan mereka merasa takut bila harus menjalankan operasi pengangkatan benjolan di  payudara. Terjadi dikarenakan bukan karena unsur ketidak tahuannya pada diri mahasiswi tersebut akan tetapi rasa ketakutan yang harus dijalani apabila terditeksi adanya benjolan pada payudara. Mahasiswi kesehatan yang sudah terpapar oleh materi pelaksanan SADARI masih tetap harus diberikan motivasi tidak hanya mengetahui akan tetapi di aplikasikan dalam kehidupannya. Mahasiswi kesehtan tidak hanya termotivasi melaksanakan SADARI, harus dapat memberikan edukasi pentingnya pelaksanaan SADARI diusia muda kepada remaja lainnya, jangan sampai bila terjadi pada dirinya takut untuk melaksanakan pengobatan, agar benjolan pada payudara yang ditemukan sedini mungkin tidak menjadi keganasan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui motivasi mahasiswi tentang pelaksanaan Periksa Payudara Sendiri. Metode Penelitian: Desain penelitian deskriptif, populasi dan sampel  seluruh mahasiswi D3 Keperawatan berjumlah 121 responden, dengan teknik total sampling. Pelaksanaan pada 18 Maret - 30 April 2025, variabel  penelitian motivasi mahasiswi tentang pelaksanaan periksa payudara sendiri (SADARI), instrumen penelitian  kuesioner, data dianalisis dengan rumus presentase dan diinterprestasi dengan kuantitatif. Hasil: berdasarkan hasil didapatkan dari 121 responden, hampir seluruh responden mempunyai motivasi tinggi sejumlah (80%) dan sebagian kecil dari responden mempunyai motivasi sedang sejumlah (20%). Kesimpulan: Motivasi mahasiswi tentang pelaksanaan Periksa Payudara Sendiri (SADARI) dipengaruhi usia, tingkat perkuliahan, pernah mendapatkan informasi SADARI atau tidak, dan sumber informasi. Mahasiswi dengan motivasi tinggi diharapkan melaksanakan SADARI secara rutin dan membagikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman positif tentang Pelaksanaannya ABSTRACT Introduction Breast self-examination (BSE) is crucial for all women because it is a simple way to detect breast lumps early, especially those suspected of being malignant. This is especially true for young women, who often feel embarrassed and uncomfortable or feel that performing BSE is not yet important. Several female health students have come to their lecturers to ask about their next steps after discovering they have breast lumps and are afraid of having to undergo surgery to remove them. This is not due to the student's own ignorance, but rather to the fear of having to deal with a breast lump. Female health students who have been exposed to BSE material still need to be motivated not only to understand but also to apply it in their lives. Female health students should not only be motivated to perform BSE but also to educate other adolescents about the importance of BSE at a young age, so that if they experience it, they are not afraid to seek treatment, so that breast lumps found early do not become malignant. The purpose of this study was to determine female health students' motivations for performing BSE. Research Method: The research design was descriptive, with a population and sample of 121 respondents from all D3 Nursing students, using a total sampling technique. The study was conducted from March 18 to April 30, 2025. The research variable was the students' motivation regarding breast self-examination (BSE). The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a percentage formula and interpreted quantitatively. Results: Based on the results obtained from 121 respondents, almost all respondents had high motivation (80%), and a small portion of respondents had moderate motivation (20%). Conclusion: Students' motivation regarding breast self-examination (BSE) is influenced by age, level of study, whether they have received BSE information or not, and the source of the information. Students with high motivation are expected to perform BSE regularly and share their knowledge and positive experiences regarding its implementation.
