Abstract

The low literacy rate among the indonesia public means that some readers tend to focus only on news headlines without understanding the full content. This phenomenon has led the online media outlet Memorandum to use clickbait in its crime news headlines to attract readers attenton. Not all readers are able to distinguish between clickbait headlines and informative ones, which can lead to misunderstandings regarding the news content. This study aims to examine how clickbait is applied to crime news headlines on the online media Memorandum during the January and February 2026 period as an effort attract readers attention.This study employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques involving documentation and interviews. Documentation was conducted by classifying criminal news headlines on the online media platform Memorandum during the January and February 2026 period that contained clickbait elements, while interviews were conducted with representatives from Memorandum to gather information.The results of the authors research indicate that clickbait is employed in the headlines of crime news on the online media Memorandum through the use of sensational clickbait that tends to exaggerate. This is evident in the word choices used in the headlines of these crime news stories. This can evoke emotional reactions and curiosity in readers, thereby encouraging them to click on the presented headlines. Clickbait is consistently applied to the criminal news headlines created, while adhering to guidelines regarding content that does not contain elements of SARA issues or coercive bullying.

Abstract

Public perception of sexual violence cases is influenced by media coverage, which shapes social reality through framing processes. This study aims to analyze and compare the framing of Kompas.com and Detik.com in reporting sexual violence cases in Indonesia. Robert N. Entman's framing model was applied through four elements: problem definition, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation. These media were selected due to their significant public reach and different reporting characteristics, with Kompas.com emphasizing contextual analysis and Detik.com prioritizing speed and concise information delivery. This qualitative study employed framing analysis on ten news articles selected through purposive sampling from January to December 2024. The findings indicate that Kompas.com highlights context, victim perspectives, and educational aspects, while Detik.com focuses on facts and chronology. Differences in framing are influenced by editorial characteristics and news presentation strategies. This study contributes to understanding media construction of sexual violence issues and encourages ethical, victim-sensitive journalism.

Abstract

This study raises the issue of PT PLN Nusantara Power Services' communication strategy in shaping perceptions of professionalism through Instagram @pln_npservices. In the context of the important role of social media as a means of representing a company's image, especially in the electricity industry, which requires public trust. The research focuses on understanding the digital communication strategies implemented and the factors that influence the formation of professionalism perceptions among audiences. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, through in-depth interviews with relevant parties, observation, and documentation to collect relevant data on the planning and implementation of the strategies. The results of the study show that the communication strategy used by PT PLN Nusantara Power Services includes five stages according to Hafied Cangara, namely research, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Content that highlights the company's achievements, awards, technical education on electricity, and operational activities reflects professionalism. This study confirms that a structured digital communication strategy can contribute to the formation of perceptions of professionalism, but its effectiveness will increase if the company adds audience needs research and strengthens visual creativity and two-way interaction in content management.
