Abstract

Abstract: This community service program was implemented at UPT SPF SD Negeri 101800, Deli Tua Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, with the aim of enhancing teachers’ competence in developing metacognitive assessment instruments in IPAS learning based on Smart Technology. The main problems faced by the partner school included teachers’ difficulties in developing metacognitive instruments, the low quality of assessment instruments, limited skills in item analysis, and the lack of technology utilization in constructing valid and reliable assessment tools.The solutions offered consisted of technology-based training and mentoring, including the use of Google Forms, Magic School AI, Baamboozle, and Anates in the development and analysis of assessment instruments. The implementation method was carried out through four main stages: preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and follow-up. The training and workshops were conducted using a participatory approach with hands-on practice to enable teachers to develop assessment instruments that meet quality standards.The results of the program indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in developing technology-based metacognitive assessment instruments, as well as their ability to analyze the validity and reliability of test items. In addition, teachers demonstrated increased competence in utilizing digital applications as innovative and efficient tools for learning evaluation. Keyword: Digital literacy, pedagogical competence, mentoring, primary school teachers, learning technology   Abstrak: Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di UPT SPF SD Negeri 101800 Kecamatan Deli Tua, Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan tujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian kemampuan metakognitif pada pembelajaran IPAS berbasis Smart Technology. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi kesulitan guru dalam mengembangkan instrumen metakognitif, rendahnya kualitas instrumen penilaian, keterbatasan kemampuan dalam analisis butir soal, serta minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam penyusunan instrumen yang valid dan reliabel. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan berbasis teknologi, meliputi penggunaan aplikasi Google Form, Magic School AI, Baamboozle, dan Anates dalam pengembangan dan analisis instrumen penilaian. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi, serta tindak lanjut. Kegiatan pelatihan dan workshop dilaksanakan secara partisipatif dengan pendekatan praktik langsung agar guru mampu menghasilkan instrumen penilaian yang sesuai dengan standar kualitas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian metakognitif berbasis teknologi, serta kemampuan dalam melakukan analisis validitas dan reliabilitas butir soal. Selain itu, guru menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi digital sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efisien. Abstract

Abstract: The problems identified at SDN 047175 Simacem Bekerah indicate that disaster preparedness has not been systematically integrated into the learning process, teachers’ competence in delivering disaster-related content remains limited, and the utilization of interactive learning technology such as Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) is still suboptimal. This condition is exacerbated by the school’s location in a disaster-prone area of Mount Sinabung and the limited availability of contextual learning resources.To address these issues, a community service program was implemented by integrating disaster preparedness education, hydroponic-based environmental learning, and the use of IFP technology. The implementation method consisted of four stages: preparation, implementation, assessment, and evaluation. The results showed significant improvements in teachers’ knowledge (from approximately 30% to ≥80%), digital skills (≥70% of teachers were able to use IFP effectively), and student engagement in project-based learning (≥75%). In conclusion, this program is effective in enhancing disaster literacy, teachers’ digital competence, and contextual learning practices. It is recommended that the program be sustained and replicated in other disaster-prone schools. Keywords: disaster preparedness, hydroponics, Interactive Flat Panel, elementary school teachers, Mount Sinabung Abstrak: Permasalahan yang ditemukan di SDN 047175 Simacem Bekerah menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran belum mengintegrasikan kesiapsiagaan bencana secara sistematis, keterampilan guru dalam mengajarkan kebencanaan masih terbatas, serta pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran interaktif seperti Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) belum optimal. Kondisi ini diperparah oleh letak geografis wilayah yang berada di kawasan rawan bencana Gunung Sinabung serta keterbatasan sarana pembelajaran kontekstual. Upaya menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan program pendampingan berbasis integrasi kesiapsiagaan bencana, pembelajaran hidroponik, dan pemanfaatan IFP. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, penilaian, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman guru (±30% menjadi ≥80%), keterampilan pemanfaatan teknologi (≥70% guru mampu menggunakan IFP), serta keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek (≥75%). Kesimpulannya, program ini efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kebencanaan, keterampilan digital, dan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis lingkungan. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada keberlanjutan program dan replikasi di sekolah rawan bencana lainnya. Kata kunci: kesiapsiagaan bencana, hidroponik, IFP, guru SD, Sinabung

Abstract

Abstract: This community service activity is motivated by the still low competence of teachers in designing collaborative learning based on local wisdom integrated with digital platforms, as well as the dominance of conventional teacher-centered learning. The objective of this activity is to enhance teachers' competencies in designing and implementing innovative learning based on technology and local context. The implementation method uses a participatory mentoring approach and learning by doing thru the stages of preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as follow-up. The subjects of the activity are teachers from UPT SPF SDN 101797, conducted within the partner school environment. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the activities show an increase in teachers' competencies in collaborative learning from 48% to 87%, integration of local wisdom from 55% to 88%, digital literacy from 40% to 82%, and the use of digital platforms from 40% to 86%. The quality of learning devices improved from 58% to 88% and the effectiveness of learning from 52% to 85%. In conclusion, these activities effectively significantly enhance teachers' competencies and promote a more innovative, collaborative, and sustainably digital-based transformation of learning. Keyword: Collaborative Learning, Local Wisdom, Digital Literacy, Digital Platforms, Teacher Competence Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis kearifan lokal yang terintegrasi platform digital, serta dominannya pembelajaran konvensional yang berpusat pada guru. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi dan konteks lokal. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan participatory mentoring dan learning by doing melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi, serta tindak lanjut. Subjek kegiatan adalah guru UPT SPF SDN 101797 yang dilaksanakan di lingkungan sekolah mitra. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru pada pembelajaran kolaboratif dari 48% menjadi 87%, integrasi kearifan lokal dari 55% menjadi 88%, literasi digital dari 40% menjadi 82%, serta penggunaan platform digital dari 40% menjadi 86%. Kualitas perangkat pembelajaran meningkat dari 58% menjadi 88% dan efektivitas pembelajaran dari 52% menjadi 85%. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi guru secara signifikan dan mendorong transformasi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, kolaboratif, dan berbasis digital secara berkelanjutan.
