Abstract

exually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are a reproductive health problem that can occur in adolescents due to limited knowledge of their causes, transmission, and prevention. This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents' understanding of STIs through health education. The activity was conducted on June 18, 2026, at MTs Nurul Yaqin in Selayar Islands Regency, involving 20 students. The methods included interactive lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and participant assessments. The evaluation showed that 100% of participants were able to explain STI transmission and prevention, 95.0% understood the definition and impacts of STIs, and 90.0% were able to identify their causes, signs, and symptoms. The educational sessions also encouraged active participation, improved students' confidence in discussing reproductive health, and reduced misconceptions about STI transmission. Participants demonstrated greater awareness of healthy behavior, personal hygiene, and the importance of seeking reliable health information. These findings indicate that school-based health education is an effective promotional and preventive strategy for improving adolescents' reproductive health literacy, strengthening disease prevention efforts, and encouraging healthy behaviors that support reproductive health in both school and community settings.
