Abstract

A study was conducted to examine the effect of exogenous GA3 hormone on the yield and quality of super red dragon fruit, as well as to determine the optimal concentration and interval for achieving the best yield and quality of super red dragon fruit in Banyuwangi Regency, which commenced in March and concluded in June 2025. This research employed a Split Plot design with two factors and three replications, resulting in 60 treatment combinations. The first factor is the concentration of GA3, which includes 5 levels: 0 ppm (control), 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm, and 200 ppm. The second factor is the application interval of GA3, which consists of: every 3 days, every 5 days, every 7 days, and every 9 days. The observed variables include fruit pH level, antioxidant content, harvest time, and fruit grade (grade super, grade A, grade B, dan grade C). The interaction between the concentration and application interval of GA3 on the super red dragon fruit was assessed concerning the observed variables of pH level, harvest time, and antioxidant content. The recommended concentration and interval are 50 ppm with an application every 5 days. The single factor of GA3 concentration was analyzed concerning the observed variables of total fruit weight, fruit texture, fruit diameter, flesh weight, skin thickness, sugar content, super grade, grade A, grade B, and grade C. The recommended concentration of GA3 is 50 ppm. Keywords: Super red dragon fruit, GA3, concentration, interval
