Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mediating effect of job mutation on the influence of work motivation and organizational commitment on employee performance at Universitas Bosowa. The research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 81 administrative employees (tenaga kependidikan) of Universitas Bosowa. The results reveal that both work motivation and organizational commitment have a positive and significant effect on job mutation, as well as a direct positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job mutation is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while significantly mediating the relationship between work motivation, organizational commitment, and performance. The R-Square (R²) value obtained for the job mutation variable is 0.633, and for the employee performance variable is 0.733, indicating that the model has strong predictive power for these variables. These findings suggest that effective management of work motivation, organizational commitment, and strategic job mutation can simultaneously and optimally enhance employee performance.
