Abstract

Vaginal discharge (fluor albus) is a discharge from the vagina that can be normal or abnormal. In adolescent girls, vaginal discharge often occurs due to hormonal changes, poor reproductive hygiene, and psychological factors such as stress. Stress can affect the balance of estrogen, which plays a role in vaginal fluid production, potentially increasing the risk of vaginal discharge. This condition is important to consider because adolescence is a developmental stage vulnerable to emotional stress, academic pressures, and social changes that can cause prolonged stress. The high incidence of vaginal discharge in adolescents indicates the need to understand triggers, particularly stress, for early prevention. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and the occurrence of vaginal discharge in adolescent girls. The discussion focuses on the link between psychological changes and the body's physiological reactions to stress, which can trigger disorders of the reproductive organs, particularly vaginal discharge.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition where the hemoglobin level is below 11 g/dL. This condition can impact fetal growth and development and increase the risk of bleeding in the mother. One of the main causes of anemia is iron deficiency, which can be minimized by consuming foods high in iron, including mung bean juice. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of administering mung bean juice and honey and iron tablets in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. The research method used a literature review with data sources from Google Scholar, consisting of three journals selected based on publication criteria from 2021–2025 and relevance to keywords. The results of the review indicate that regular consumption of mung bean juice with added honey and iron tablets significantly increases hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Thus, mung bean juice with added honey and iron tablets has the potential to be a simple nutritional intervention that is beneficial in preventing anemia in pregnancy.

Abstract

Adolescence is an important stage in physical, mental, and intellectual development, with an age range of 12–18 years according to WHO. Despite various health campaigns carried out by the government and health organizations, smoking habits among adolescents continue to show an increasing trend. Cigarette smoke has harmful effects on all age groups, from infants to the elderly, including health risks such as low birth weight, respiratory infections, heart disease, and hypertension. A study by Lentera Anak and U-Report UNICEF in 2022 found that the majority of passive smokers were reluctant to remind active smokers to stop, even though they were aware of the dangers. These findings highlight the importance of increasing awareness and interventions to reduce exposure to cigarette smoke and improve adolescent health. This study aims to assess the extent of adolescents’ knowledge regarding the negative impacts of smoking. The method used is a literature review with a narrative approach, exploring research conducted in Indonesia that contains information on the “Description of Adolescent Knowledge about the Dangers of Smoking.”
