Abstract

The Kedungsari area, Mranggen, is one of the salak producers in the Magelang area. With so much production of salak fruit, a lot of waste of salak fruit and seeds is thrown away. Utilization of waste requires processing of these wastes into other products that have economic value. The service carried out has the aim of providing education to partners (Kedungsari residents) so that the salak waste can be processed into useful products for the community. At least 30 people participated in this activity, and the majority of the residents who attended were members of the Kedungsari Family Welfare Development (PKK). To expedite activities and assist the PKK in Srumbung, Mranggen was also provided with a zalacca seed grinding tool for smooth competency development and also a means of generating income for households and the community in Mranggen. Figure 2 shows a graph of the satisfaction level of residents/socialization participants. The activities carried out were training in making zalacca flesh into food products and zalacca seeds into coffee. To help make it easier for partners to process zalacca seeds, a seed grinding unit was given to partners to support villagers in processing zalacca seeds. At the implementation stage, the activities were carried out in 2 forms of training, namely training on processing zalacca fruit into food products and training on processing zalacca seeds for coffee. At least 30 people participated in this activity, with very satisfactory survey results

Abstract

One potential source of biomass energy to be processed is agricultural waste. Seeing the potential of corn cultivation owned by the people of Ngeposari Village, corn waste processing is considered to have opportunities in economic terms. Corn weevils have been used by residents to make embers without further processing. Household waste and agricultural waste often harm society. Waste that is a leftover or discarded product is always considered unusable. The existing waste accumulates and has a negative effect. Proper processing of waste can open up new business opportunities. Agricultural waste is one biomass energy source with high selling value but has yet to be widely utilized. The service team offers solutions to revive UMKM in Ngeposari Village, Gunung Kidul, and increase community business opportunities through this service program. Several pieces of training were conducted to increase the skills of residents, namely training in making briquettes from corn stalks and training in making organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Automatic plant sprinklers aim to replace manual work into automatic, as for the benefits obtained from this tool is that it can facilitate human work in watering onion plants. This tool uses a soil moisture sensor that functions as a soil moisture detector and sends commands to Arduino uno to turn on the relay so that the pump can turn on and splash water according to soil needs automatically. The design of this tool utilizes the nature of water, which is to fill empty space, and is always flat, this automatic plant sprinkler uses a water reservoir before water is splashed on the ground. Output holes applied to water reservoirs of the same height and diameter allow watering of the soil evenly. The results of the automatic plant sprinkler design test obtained after three tests, have a difference in the amount of water released from water hole one and water hole two, which ranges from 0-7%, which means it is still within the tolerance limit for onion plants, onion plants need soil moisture between 70-80%, which means it has a moisture tolerance between 10%.
