<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to find out whether the application of the investigation group
learning model can improve learning outcomes in the subject matter of building space for
students in Class IX-B of SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. This research is a classroom action
research which in its implementation is divided into three stages, namely pre cycle, cycle
I and cycle II. In the pre cycle, the learning outcomes and learning activeness of students
are obtained from 1 year ago. In cycles I and II consists of planning, implementation,
observation and reflection. The results of observation and reflection will be used as
reference material for the implementation of the next cycle. So that the process and
results of the implementation of the next cycle are expected to be better than the previous
cycle. The results showed that the pre-cycle obtained the average learning outcomes and
learning completeness in the pre-cycle were 52.97 and 26.32%. After doing the first cycle
the average learning outcomes and learning completeness experienced an increase of
57.89 and 52.63%. In the second cycle after a reflection of the implementation of the
action in the second cycle has increased, the average learning outcomes and learning
completeness is 74.90 and 91.89%.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model
pembelajaran group investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi
pokok bangun ruang bagi peserta didik Kelas IX-B SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang
dalam pelaksanaannya dibagi dalam tiga tahap yaitu pra siklus, siklus I dan siklus II. Pada
pra siklus, hasil belajar dan keaktifan belajar peserta didik diperoleh dari 1 tahun yang
lalu. Pada siklus I dan II terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi.
Hasil pengamatan dan refleksi akan dijadikan bahan rujukan untuk pelaksanaan siklus
berikutnya. Sehingga proses dan hasil pelaksanaan siklus berikutnya diharapkan akan
lebih baik dari siklus sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pra siklus
diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar pada pra siklus adalah 52.97 dan
26.32%. Setelah dilakukan siklus I rata-rata hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar
mengalami peningkatan yaitu menjadi 57.89 dan 52.63%. Pada siklus II setelah diadakan
refleksi pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu rata-rata hasil
belajar dan ketuntasan belajar adalah 74.90 dan 91.89%.
