<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to improve storytelling skills through the mind map method of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 070980 Moawo, Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City. This type of research is Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were class V students of SD Negeri 070980 Moawo with 37 students. The study design used the Kemmis and Mc models. Taggart. Data collection techniques use tests, observation of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The results of this class action research show that the storytelling skills of class V students of SD Negeri 070980 Moawo can be improved through the mind map method. The increase occurred in: (1) the learning process has increased towards a better direction in each cycle, namely increasing students' motivation, attention and activeness in participating in learning activities, in the first cycle the achievements obtained by students were 66% increased to 76% in the cycle II, (2) the results of student skills in storytelling have increased. The average value of the students' storytelling skills on pre-cycle is 55.92, in the first cycle it becomes 63.73, and in the second cycle it increases to 71.68. Thus, the use of the mind map method can improve the storytelling skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 070980 Moawo, Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita melalui metode mind map siswa kelas V SD Negeri 070980 Moawo Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Kota Gunungsitoli. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 070980 Moawo dengan jumlah 37 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan bercerita siswa kelas V SD Negeri 070980 Moawo, dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode mind map. Peningkatan terjadi pada: (1) proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan ke arah yang lebih baik di setiap siklus, yaitu meningkatnya motivasi, perhatian, dan keaktifan siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, pada siklus I pencapaian yang diperoleh siswa adalah 66% meningkat menjadi 76% pada siklus II, (2) hasil keterampilan siswa dalam bercerita mengalami peningkatan. Hasil rata-rata nilai keterampilan bercerita siswa pada prasiklus adalah 55,92, pada siklus I menjadi 63,73, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 71,68. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode mind map dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita siswa kelas V SD Negeri 070980 Moawo Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Kota Gunungsitoli.
