Abstract

The implementation of the e-filing system as part of the digitalization of tax services aims to facilitate taxpayers in submitting their Annual Tax Returns (Surat Pemberitahuan or SPT). However, many taxpayers still encounter difficulties in the registration process, Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) activation, and the completion and submission of electronic tax return forms. This community service activity aimed to improve taxpayers’ understanding, skills, and compliance through assistance in filing Annual Tax Returns using the e-filing system. The program employed a direct mentoring approach conducted at the Bengkulu Satu Primary Tax Office (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Bengkulu Satu), the implementation of Tax Corner services at the University of Bengkulu, and tax education through social media platforms. The results showed that more than 500 individual taxpayers successfully received assistance and completed the electronic submission of their Annual Tax Returns. In addition to resolving various technical issues, the program enhanced public tax literacy while providing valuable practical experience for student tax volunteers. Therefore, the Tax Volunteer Assistance Program proved effective in improving taxpayer compliance and expanding the utilization of the e-filing system, demonstrating the importance of collaboration between universities and the Directorate General of Taxes in strengthening public tax services.
