Abstract

The transformation of algorithmic personalization technology on e-commerce platforms has an impact on the behavior and quality of Islamic human resources. This study aims to examine the effect of algorithmic personalization on the Islamic human capital of Muslim students in Lamongan, with self-control as a mediator, from Umer Chapra's perspective. The method used was quantitative, causal research. The study sample consisted of 102 people, determined using proportionate stratified sampling techniques with data analysis using PLS-SEM. The results of the study consist of: 1) algorithmic personalization has no significant effect on Islamic human capital. 2) algorithmic personalization has a significant effect on self-control. 3) self-control has a significant effect on Islamic human capital. 3) self-control is proven to significantly mediate the effect of algorithmic personalization on the Islamic human capital of Muslim students in Lamongan. These findings indicate that algorithmic personalization does not directly influence Islamic human capital, but rather through the role of self-control as a mediating variable. From Umer Chapra's perspective, strengthening self-control is a crucial factor in shaping the quality of an individual's Islamic human capital, ensuring that the use of digital technology remains aligned with Islamic values ​​and the goals of public welfare.

Abstract

This article aims to comprehensively examine the influence of Al-Banjari extracurricular activities on the formation of religious and social character of students at MTs Ma'arif NU Sukodadi. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, it aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomena of behaviour, perceptions, motivations, and actions of the research subjects in their natural context. The results of the study show that with the Al-Banjari extracurricular activities, students' religious character can be formed,  1) students have religious character 2) students have a high level of piety 3) students have a high level of spirituality 4) students have a love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, 5) students have a high level of discipline, and the social character of students includes 1) students have good character or ethics towards others 2) students can establish solidarity among fellow students 3) students have a great sense of responsibility 4) students have a high spirit of mutual cooperation 5) students have a high spirit of creativity.

Abstract

Abstract. This study was motivated by the importance of implementing governance in Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFIs) that is oriented not only toward financial performance but also toward achieving the objectives of maqashid sharia, particularly hifdzul mal (the protection of wealth), in improving members' welfare. KSPPS Mawar Simo Sungelebak Lamongan, as one of the Islamic Microfinance Institutions, plays a strategic role in providing Sharia-compliant financial services based on the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, fairness, and Sharia compliance. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a maqashid sharia-based governance model in improving the welfare of members at KSPPS Mawar Simo Sungelebak Lamongan. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results indicate that KSPPS Mawar Simo Sungelebak Lamongan has implemented maqashid sharia-based governance through the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, fairness, and Sharia compliance in its operational activities. The implementation of hifdzul mal is reflected in the trustworthy management of funds, appropriate financing distribution, supervision of fund utilization, and efforts to maintain the sustainability of members' businesses. The implementation of this governance model has positively contributed to members' welfare, as indicated by improved access to Sharia financing, business development, increased income, and stronger members' trust in the institution.

Abstract

Efisiensi biaya operasional merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam menjaga keberlanjutan lembaga keuangan syariah, namun dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam efisiensi tidak hanya berorientasi pada penghematan biaya, melainkan juga pada pencapaian kemaslahatan dan keadilan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis implementasi efisiensi biaya operasional berdasarkan perspektif ekonomi Islam pada KSPPS BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi efisiensi biaya operasional dilakukan melalui pengelolaan waktu kerja yang efektif, pembagian tugas sesuai tanggung jawab, serta optimalisasi penggunaan biaya operasional tanpa mengurangi kualitas pelayanan kepada anggota. Tingginya rasio BOPO tidak sepenuhnya mencerminkan ketidakefisienan karena biaya operasional dialokasikan untuk menjaga kualitas pelayanan, memenuhi hak-hak karyawan, dan menjamin keberlangsungan operasional lembaga. Penerapan prinsip kemaslahatan diwujudkan melalui pelayanan yang berorientasi pada kesejahteraan anggota, kemudahan akses pembiayaan, pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, serta penyelesaian pembiayaan bermasalah melalui musyawarah dan pendekatan kekeluargaan. Sementara itu, prinsip keadilan sosial tercermin dalam pemberian pelayanan yang setara kepada seluruh anggota, pemerataan akses pembiayaan, pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang adil, serta operasional lembaga yang transparan dan akuntabel. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi efisiensi biaya operasional di KSPPS BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Jawa Timur telah sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam karena tidak hanya berorientasi pada efisiensi ekonomi, tetapi juga pada terwujudnya kemaslahatan dan keadilan sosial bagi anggota, karyawan, dan masyarakat.
