Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of using audiovisual fable storytelling media on the listening skills of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Tunas Bangsa, Padang. The study was prompted by identified challenges in children's listening abilities, such as low concentration levels and difficulties in understanding or responding to simple narratives. Employing a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design, the study involved 15 children chosen through purposive sampling. The five-day intervention utilized diverse audiovisual fables to maintain engagement, with data analyzed through observation rubrics, normality tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in average scores, rising from 28.96 during the pretest to 61.46 in the posttest. With a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), the study concludes that audiovisual fable storytelling is a highly effective medium for significantly enhancing the listening competencies of young children.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) in the Independent Curriculum at the UNP Laboratory Development High School. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the character of students with six main dimensions, such as faith, diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical thinking and creativity. Implementation of P5 is carried out through project-based activities involving these elements, with a focus on the theme "Local Wisdom." UNP Laboratory Development High School implements P5 every three months, involving all education stakeholders. P5 evaluation does not focus on written grades, but rather on strengthening character, especially local wisdom which describes the culture, identity and ethics of the local community. This program aims to prepare students to face the challenges of globalization while maintaining harmony with Pancasila values ​​and local wisdom. The research method used was qualitative with data collection through observation and interviews with the P5 coordinating teacher. The findings show that P5 involves project-based activities aimed at strengthening students' competencies and character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. The implication of this research is the importance of character education that integrates local wisdom in learning to create a competent and characterful generation.

Abstract

Child sexual violence is a serious issue that continues to increase in Indonesia, with profound impacts on the social, psychological, and physical development of children. This study aims to explore the role of early sexual education as a preventive measure in overcoming child sexual violence. The research method used is a literature study, by collecting data from various reliable sources, such as journals, books, and research reports. The results of the study indicate that sexual education provided to children from an early age can improve their understanding of the body, the right to privacy, and how to protect themselves from inappropriate actions. This education can also equip children with knowledge of moral and ethical values ​​that are relevant to their social interactions. The implications of this study are the importance of the role of parents, teachers, and the environment in providing appropriate and ongoing sexual education in order to create a safe environment and protect children from the risk of sexual violence.
