Abstract

This research intends to examine the implementation of da'wah management in shaping students' character and awareness of environmental cleanliness at Kamaliah Islamic Elementary School, Pematang Johar. The observed phenomenon arises from students' variable actions regarding school cleanliness, even with an effective program in place. This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing an intrinsic case study to investigate the processes, importance, and interactions related to the implementation of da'wah management in Islamic primary schools. Data was gathered via thorough interviews with the principal, educators in Islamic Religious Education, classroom teachers, and students, along with observations of documents and participant interactions. The analysis of data was performed interactively, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and the formulation and verification of conclusions. The results of the research suggest that the implementation of da'wah management is carried out through four main functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. Planning includes the integration of cleanliness values as part of faith into school programs. Classroom-based organizing involves collaboration between teachers and students. Implementation prioritizes habituation, role modeling, and strengthening religious values, while supervision is carried out through daily monitoring, monthly evaluations, and a reward system. These findings indicate that structured da'wah management helps internalize environmental values more systematically. This research contributes to the strengthening of the theory of integrated Islamic-based character education and management, and provides practical recommendations for schools in developing sustainable and contextual character development models.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the strategies employed by the Silinda Subdistrict Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) to address early marriage among adolescents aged 15–18 years amid the ever-evolving dynamics of digital society and culture. Early marriage remains a social issue that impacts educational continuity, reproductive health, and family resilience, even though it is showing a downward trend nationally. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews and observation as data collection techniques. Research informants were selected through purposive sampling and included the head of the KUA, Islamic religious counselors, and KUA marriage officiants who are directly involved in policy formulation, the delivery of counseling, and the administrative processes of marriage. The results indicate that the KUA’s strategies are implemented through three main pillars. The educational pillar is realized through the School-Age Youth Guidance (BRUS) program and religious counseling that emphasizes psychological readiness, reproductive health, and an understanding of the ideal age for marriage. The administrative pillar is realized through the enforcement of marriage age regulations, the marriage registration system, and the mechanism for issuing marriage eligibility certificates. The collaborative pillar is carried out through cross-sectoral cooperation with schools, community health centers (Puskesmas), and local stakeholders. This study confirms that the effectiveness of early marriage prevention depends on the integration of religious education, administrative enforcement, and sustained institutional synergy
