<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the optimization of the school library's function as a learning resource in developing students' literacy at SDN 06 Tilamuta. A qualitative approach was employed using observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data regarding the utilization of the library in supporting learning activities. The findings indicate that the school library plays a strategic role in improving students' literacy skills through the provision of diverse and engaging reading materials, the implementation of school literacy programs, habitual reading activities, and teachers' involvement in guiding students to utilize the library effectively. These initiatives encourage students to read more actively, enhance their reading comprehension, broaden their knowledge, and facilitate access to information relevant to classroom learning. However, the optimization of the library's function still faces several challenges, including limited book collections, students' low reading interest, and inadequate library facilities. These obstacles require greater attention through the expansion of library collections, improvement of facilities and infrastructure, and stronger collaboration among schools, teachers, librarians, and parents in fostering a literacy culture. Continuous optimization is expected to enable the school library to serve as a literacy center and an effective learning resource that supports educational quality improvement while cultivating lifelong learning habits among elementary school students.]]>
