Abstract

Stunting is a public health problem that is still high in Indonesia and other developing countries. Prevention efforts require an innovative approach, one of which is through digital education that is able to reach targets quickly and effectively. This article aims to examine the various digital education interventions used in stunting prevention and analyze their effectiveness based on evidence from original research. This study is a review of the narrative literature on 11 original research articles published between 2020–2025. A total of 372 articles were initially identified through database searches (PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, Garuda, and ResearchGate). After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria and removing duplicates, 11 articles met the eligibility criteria and were included in the analysis. Article selection follows the PICOS criteria and the PRISMA process. Digital education in the form of mobile applications, voice and text messages, and online media has been proven to improve nutrition knowledge, change feeding behavior, and improve children's nutritional status. The effectiveness of interventions is greatly influenced by consistent message exposure, support of health cadres, and readiness of digital infrastructure. Digital education is a relevant and adaptive strategy in stunting prevention. Integration with community and cross-sector approaches is critical to ensuring the success and sustainability of the program.

Abstract

Students' GPA is frequently linked to a variety of internal and external factors, including sociodemographic characteristics such as gender and area of residence, as well as psychological variables such as happiness levels. However, the association between happiness and academic achievement has not been clearly established in prior study. The purpose of this study is to examine the association between gender, place of residence, and happiness levels in relation to students' Grade Point Average (GPA). The study followed a descriptive correlational strategy. Data was obtained from 62 students using a questionnaire that included factors like gender, place of residence, happiness level, GPA, and the Indonesian version of the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQI). The research was conducted using the Chi-Square test for categorical correlations, the independent t-test for comparing mean GPAs between groups, and one-way ANOVA to assess the impact of happiness level on GPA. The findings revealed no statistically significant associations were found between gender and happiness level (p=0.481), gender and GPA (p=0.111), place of residence and happiness level (p=0.537), place of residence and GPA (p=0.090), or happiness level and GPA (p=0.401). Nevertheless, students who live with their parents tend to have higher GPAs than students who reside in dorms. The results indicate that no statistically significant associations were observed between gender, place of residence, happiness level, and students’ GPA. Descriptively, students living with their parents tended to have higher GPAs than those residing in dormitories, although this difference was not statistically significant. These findings suggest that sociodemographic characteristics alone may not sufficiently explain variations in academic performance within this sample.

Abstract

Introduction:  The issue of malnutrition and stunting in toddlers often stems from parenting mistakes, particularly the inaccuracies in the Practice Feeding. Although the facilities of the Toddler Mother Class are available at the Community Health Center, their utilisation tends to be suboptimal due to an approach dominated by one-way theoretical lectures. This community service activity aims to optimise the Toddler Class into an educational platform based on interactive practices to enhance mothers' knowledge of infant and child feeding practices. Methods:  This activity was carried out at the Kesambi Primary Health Center in Cirebon City, involving 15 mothers with toddlers aged 0–24 months and 2 cadres as sustainability partners. The program implementation method is divided into three comprehensive stages: the preparation stage (policy coordination and assessment of the needs of mothers with toddlers), the implementation stage (IYCF education ), and the evaluation stage (measurement of cognitive aspects through pre-test and post-test). Results: The educational intervention led to a substantial improvement in maternal knowledge regarding IYCF practices. Prior to the intervention, baseline evaluation showed that only 33.3% of mothers demonstrated good knowledge. Following the implementation of the participatory educational sessions, the proportion of mothers in the good knowledge category increased markedly to 86.7%, reflecting a successful shift in maternal knowledge. Conclusion It is concluded that the education provided to mothers of toddlers, particularly with a different educational model in terms of methods and media usage, where participatory-applicative education is very effective in stimulating cognitive changes in mothers of toddlers in the practice of feeding infants and toddlers. It is recommended that the Puskesmas integrate the interactive practice-based discussion education model into the health promotion program scheme to ensure the sustainability of specific nutrition interventions at the primary service level.
