Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of Islamic spiritual values in forming service ethics in sharia hotels. The writing of this study uses a qualitative method, which aims to understand a context that occurs directly in the field. Data were obtained through direct observation as a primary data source and literature references from previous studies that are relevant to the research topic. Furthermore, to obtain quality explanations and answers, this study utilizes available information and analyzes whether the implementation of Islamic spiritual values has been applied in services at Sharia Hotels, especially those in the city of Surabaya. This study found that the application of Islamic spiritual values, such as patience, sincerity, honesty, responsibility and justice which are intended as worship have become the foundation in forming professional service ethics and based on Islamic values and have been successfully implemented well in service to guests and relationships with others. The results of the study are important for hotel business actors, as well as all hotel employees to understand the importance of implementing Islamic spiritual values as a basic foundation in work service ethics and as a form of worship.
