This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Yanbu’a method within the Qur’an memorization (Tahfidz) program at SMP IT Yayasan Perguruan Islamiyah Nurul Hadina Medan, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, involving the school principal, Tahfidz teachers, and students as informants. Data analysis utilized the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, comprising data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results indicate that the Yanbu’a method serves as a supporting tool for enhancing Qur’an reading proficiency prior to and during the memorization process. Implementation activities include reading demonstrations, following the teacher's recitation, listening exercises, correction of articulation points (makharijul huruf) and recitation rules (tajwid), repetition, memorization, recitation checks (setoran), review (muroja’ah), and evaluation. Supporting factors include school support, teacher competence, instructional materials, student motivation, reading habits, and the school environment. Challenges include varying initial proficiency levels, time constraints, consistency in review (muroja’ah), concentration issues, and the pace of achieving memorization targets.
