Abstract

Instilling religious and spiritual values in children is a fundamental component in forming their character and social behavior. This article discusses various effective methods used by parents and teachers in educating children, including example, habituation, discussion, and the use of interactive media. By involving parents as the first educators and teachers as formal educators, an environment that supports the process of internalizing religious values can be created. This research also highlights the positive impact of religious education on the development of children's behavior, such as increasing empathy, integrity and cooperative abilities. Even though there are challenges in the digital era, such as the influence of social media and limited parental time, collaboration between families, schools and communities is very necessary to ensure that religious and spiritual values remain relevant and can be implemented in children's daily lives. Thus, it is hoped that holistic and integrated religious education can form a generation with noble and responsible morals.

Abstract

Deviant behavior of students in the digital era is increasing, along with the development of information and communication technology. Gadget addiction, excessive use of social media, cyberbullying, online gambling, and moral degradation are phenomena that are often found among students. Factors such as unpreparedness to filter information, lack of parental and school supervision, and the influence of the social environment worsen this condition. Character education based on religious values, especially in Islamic education, can be a solution to shape students' digital morals and ethics. Islamic educational institutions need to play an active role in character building and supervising the use of technology. With the right approach, it is hoped that students can use technology wisely and avoid deviant behavior.

Abstract

Character education in Islam is very important to form a generation that has good morals and strong integrity, especially amidst the challenges of digitalization and globalization. The Qur'an as the main source of Islamic values is the basis for character formation, emphasizing values such as monotheism, honesty, responsibility, compassion, and hard work. The application of Qur'anic values in the curriculum, school activities, and creating a supportive environment and role models from teachers are effective strategies in the process of internalizing Islamic character. Cooperation between schools, families, and communities also plays an important role in maintaining the consistency of the values taught to students. With this comprehensive approach, Islamic character education can produce individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have spiritual and social strength.
