Abstract

Village economic resilience is critical for sustainable rural development, yet remains challenged by limited financial literacy, inadequate risk management, and restricted access to capital. This study examines how financial education, risk management, and technology-based loan accessibility influence economic resilience among culinary sector MSMEs in Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 68 respondents selected via proportional stratified random sampling from 217 culinary MSMEs. Multiple linear regression analysis reveals that all three independent variables significantly and positively affect village economic resilience. Technology-based loan accessibility emerged as the most dominant factor, followed by financial education and risk management. The findings suggest that integrated interventions combining digital financial inclusion, financial literacy programs, and risk management training can substantially strengthen rural economic resilience. This research contributes empirical evidence on the synergistic effects of these factors in developing economies and provides actionable insights for policymakers designing resilient rural economic development strategies. From a policy perspective, the findings highlight the importance of integrated rural economic policies that simultaneously promote financial education, strengthen risk management capacity, and expand responsible access to technology-based lending. Policymakers and local governments are encouraged to design village-level financial literacy programs and fintech regulations that support productive MSME financing while minimizing financial vulnerability.

Abstract

In an era of global competition and digital transformation, improving human resource performance has become a strategic factor for the hospitality industry, which is highly dependent on service quality. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in mediating the influence of perceived organizational support and psychological empowerment on the job performance of hospitality employees. A quantitative approach was used, with a survey method targeting star-rated hotel employees in Banda Aceh City, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the direct and indirect relationships between latent variables. The results showed that perceived organizational support and psychological empowerment had a positive and significant effect on job performance, both directly and through the mediation of OCB. OCB was found to play an important role in strengthening the relationship between psychological factors and job performance, particularly through voluntary behaviors such as helping colleagues, maintaining the organization’s image, and improving service effectiveness. These findings confirm that superior performance in the hospitality industry is not only determined by managerial systems, but also by the psychological and social aspects of employees. In the context of Aceh Province, which has distinctive religious values and social norms, organizational citizenship behavior becomes an important mechanism for building professionalism and work ethics in line with Sharia principles. This study provides practical implications for hotel management to improve organizational support, strengthen psychological empowerment, and create a collaborative work culture oriented toward service quality.

Abstract

Communities living in disaster-prone areas need not only structural preparedness but also a strong psychological capacity to survive and recover from disaster threats. This study examines the influence of Disaster Management Preparedness and Risk Perception on Community Psychological Resilience, with Stress Management as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative associative approach, data were collected from residents of disaster-prone areas in Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar Regency, Indonesia, through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that disaster management preparedness and risk perception significantly influence stress management and psychological resilience. Stress management emerged as the strongest predictor of resilience and served as a significant mediator in the relationship between preparedness and resilience, as well as between risk perception and resilience. These results highlight that resilience is strengthened not only by knowledge and structural preparedness, but also by adaptive coping strategies such as problem-focused coping, emotion regulation, and religion-based coping. In the context of Aceh Province, where socio-cultural and religious values strongly shape individual responses to disaster threats, coping mechanisms act as important psychological pathways that transform preparedness and risk awareness into resilient behavior. This study provides practical implications for disaster management authorities to integrate psychosocial strengthening into preparedness programs, emphasizing community education, simulation activities, and culturally rooted psychosocial support to enhance community resilience. Further research is encouraged to adopt mixed methods and explore additional socio-cultural variables to deepen the understanding of resilience dynamics in disaster-prone communities.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Brand Activism and Environmental Awareness on Green Repurchase Intention, with Circular Economy Behavior as a mediating variable. The study addresses the persistent attitude–behavior gap in sustainable consumption, whereby consumers often express environmental concern but do not consistently engage in green repurchasing behavior. A quantitative associative approach was employed using data collected from consumers in Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar Regency, Indonesia, through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that Brand Activism and Environmental Awareness positively and significantly influence Circular Economy Behavior. Circular Economy Behavior also demonstrates the strongest positive effect on Green Repurchase Intention, emerging as the most dominant predictor in the model. In addition, Brand Activism directly and positively affects Green Repurchase Intention, whereas Environmental Awareness shows a negative but significant direct effect, indicating that environmental awareness alone does not necessarily encourage repeated green purchasing. The mediation analysis further reveals that Circular Economy Behavior acts as an important behavioral pathway linking environmental values and brand-related factors with sustainable repurchase behavior. The indirect effects also indicate that Circular Economy Behavior strengthens the influence of Brand Activism and Environmental Awareness on Green Repurchase Intention by translating environmental values and brand-related stimuli into consistent sustainable consumption practices. These findings suggest that sustainable repurchase behavior is primarily shaped by actual behavioral engagement rather than cognitive awareness alone. This study contributes to the sustainable consumer behavior literature by emphasizing the role of Circular Economy Behavior as a key mediating mechanism within the circular economy framework. The findings also suggest that companies and policymakers should focus on encouraging sustainable behavioral practices rather than relying solely on environmental awareness campaigns.
