Abstract

This article addresses key issues causing problematic debates in modern Uzbek linguistics. It examines compound word structures, their classification, and how various parts of speech form different types of predicates—supported by practical exercises and analytical breakdowns. Furthermore, it highlights the distinct structural features differentiating verbal phrases from verbal predicates within grammatical linkages.

Abstract

This article addresses a primary issue causing problematic situations in Uzbek linguistics. It outlines the differentiation of functional verb forms from one another alongside their unique features. Most importantly, it distinguishes compound verbs, helper verb constructions, and adverbial participle phrases from each other. Practical exercises are provided at the end of the text to reinforce the learned material.
