Abstract

According to the WHO Global Tuberculosis Report for 2024, there will be around 10.8 million new TB cases worldwide in 2023, with an incidence of 134 cases per 100,000 population. Indonesia occupies the second position as the country with the most TB cases in the world. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that affect the treatment of Pulmonary TB in the working area of the Dungaliyo Health Center in 2025. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional study design, the sample in this study is Pulmonary TB patients who are treated at the Dungaliyo Health Center. Sampling was determined by a total sampling of 39 respondents. This research was conducted by interview method, the data collection tool is a questionnaire with a chi square test. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that 79.5% of respondents have lack of knowledge, 87.2% of respondents have strong motivation, 89.7% of respondents have an active PMO role. There was a relationship with knowledge (p = 0.037), there was a relationship with motivation (p = 0.038), there was a relationship with the role of PMO (p = 0.002), there was a relationship with income (p = 0.023) with the treatment of Pulmonary TB.Suggestion for the Dungaliyo Health Center is that PMO training should be held for family members who are PMO officers so that the treatment is complete. In addition, it also increases health promotion activities such as counseling, counseling, poster installation and distribution of leaflets about pulmonary TB disease.

Abstract

The Relationship between Taking Drugs and the Incidence of Gout Arthritis in the Elderly in Tunggulo Village, West Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. Thesis. Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Gorontalo.Supervised by Rosmin Ilham as the chairman, and as a Member of Hamna Vonny Lasanuddin. Gout arthritis is a degenerative disease that is often experienced by the elderly and can be affected by long-term drug consumption. The elderly generally experience various comorbidities so they are at risk of using many types of drugs that can increase uric acid levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between drug consumption and the incidence of gout arthritis in the elderly in Tunggulo Village, West Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional design. The sample totaled 78 respondents who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that most of the elderly have a high risk of taking drugs and experiencing the incidence of gout arthritis. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between drug consumption and the incidence of gout arthritis (p < 0.001).

Abstract

Hypertension is a health problem that often occurs in the elderly and is at risk of causing various complications if not controlled properly. In addition to pharmacological therapy, non-pharmacological interventions that are safe and easy to apply are needed, one of which is through the use of herbal ingredients. This study aims to determine the effect of giving turmeric juice drink on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension in East Pentadio Village, Telaga Biru District. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest–posttest approach. The study sample was elderly people with hypertension who were selected by total sampling technique. The intervention was in the form of giving 150 ml of turmeric juice drink once a day for seven days. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements were carried out before and after the intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a decrease in the mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure after the administration of turmeric juice drink, with a p value of < 0.05 which showed a significant effect. It can be concluded that turmeric juice drink has an effect on reducing blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension and can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological therapy in controlling hypertension in the elderly.

Abstract

Lansia merupakan seseorang yang telah mencapai usia 60 tahun ke atas. Kelompok lansia merupakan kelompok umur yang rentan. Dalam rentang usia tersebut, berbagai resiko munculnya penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang disebabkan oleh faktor degeneratif seperti hipertensi, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, dan kanker. Umumnya, peningkatan beberapa kejadian penyakit ini cenderung meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia sehingga lebih banyak dialami oleh lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deteksi dini (PTM) pada lansia melalui Aplikasi Satu Sehat di Wilayah Puskesmas Dungaliyo Kabupaten Gorontalo. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh lansia yang berusia 60 tahun yang ada di wilayah Puskesmas Dungaliyo yang berjumlah 2634 Orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode non probability sampling dengan teknik puposive sampling, pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan rumus slovin 10% jumlah sampel 96 responden. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model penelitian deskriptif Analitik dengan pendekatan Observasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 82 responden (85,4%) terdeteksi memiliki faktor risiko PTM, sedangkan 14 responden (14,6%) tidak terdeteksi memiliki risiko PTM. Jenis PTM yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah hipertensi, diikuti diabetes melitus, serta riwayat penyakit jantung dan stroke. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar lansia di wilayah Puskesmas Dungaliyo Kabupaten Gorontalo terdeteksi memiliki faktor risiko PTM, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran lansia akan pentingnya pemeriksaan kesehatan secara dini serta mendorong mereka untuk memanfaatkan Aplikasi Satu Sehat.
