Abstract

The exponential growth in renewable energy publications makes it difficult to understand the research landscape without a systematic approach. This study applies bibliometric analysis to 17,617 Scopus documents from 2023 to 2026 using VOSviewer and Bibliometrik to map publication trends, thematic structures, and scientific collaboration networks. Results show a ±137% surge in publications from 2023 to 2025, driven by the global energy crisis and commitments from COP27/28. Five major clusters were identified, covering power systems, policy–investment–carbon, green hydrogen, energy market optimization, and storage materials, with hydrogen and artificial intelligence emerging as research frontiers. The collaboration network is dominated by intra-national patterns within China, with limited cross-regional connectivity. This study also identifies four major research gaps: energy justice, Global South collaboration, AI–hydrogen integration, and island-based ocean energy, underscoring the need for a more integrative and contextual research approach.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the integration of renewable energy into lean manufacturing production systems using Scopus-indexed data from 2022 to 2026. The objective is to map research trends, identify dominant thematic clusters, and examine existing research gaps at the intersection of operational efficiency and energy sustainability. A total of over 1,400 documents were analyzed using VOSviewer to construct keyword co-occurrence networks and thematic maps. The findings reveal four major research clusters: (1) lean manufacturing and sustainable development, (2) Industry 4.0 and digital twins, (3) production control and optimization, and (4) hydrogen production and renewable energy systems. Despite stable publication trends in both lean manufacturing and renewable energy domains, the results indicate weak structural connections between the two fields, suggesting limited integrative research. This study highlights a significant research gap in combining lean operational principles with renewable energy applications, particularly in real-world manufacturing contexts and developing countries. It contributes by providing a comprehensive bibliometric mapping and proposing future research directions that integrate lean efficiency with sustainable energy metrics within interdisciplinary production system frameworks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the research development on biofuel–gasoline blends, focusing on emission performance and material durability within combustion systems through a bibliometric approach. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database covering the period 2022–2026, including 1,746 English-language documents in the Engineering subject area. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map publication trends, research themes, and author collaboration networks. The results show an increasing trend in publications from 2022 to 2025, indicating growing scientific interest in energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction. The thematic map identified four major clusters, with dominant themes such as biofuel, carbon dioxide, and life cycle, reflecting a shift in research orientation toward sustainable energy systems. Furthermore, the co-authorship network revealed strong collaborative links among researchers, particularly from Asian countries such as China and India. Overall, this study highlights that research on biofuel–gasoline blends is evolving toward a globalized and sustainability-oriented framework, emphasizing efficiency, material resilience, and low-emission combustion technologies in support of the global clean energy transition.
