Abstract

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is the main cause of cervical cancer and several other types of cancer. Prevention through HPV immunization early is important to reduce the risk of disease due to HPV infection. Analyzing the determinants of HPV immunization acceptance in elementary school students in Pangkalpinang City. This study uses an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample amounted to 338 respondents who were selected using the quota sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed univariately, bivariately using chi-square test (α=0.05), and multivariate using logistic regression. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between HPV immunization acceptance and knowledge (p=0.000; OR=2.978), social media (p=0.000; OR=3.458), family support (p=0.000; OR=8.969), perception of vulnerability (p=0.000; OR=4.634), perception of seriousness (p=0.000; OR=3.513), perceived benefit (p=0.000; OR=7.575), and perception of resistance (p=0.000; OR=0.347). Multivariate analysis showed that family support was the most dominant factor in HPV immunization acceptance (POR=4.033; p<0.05). Family support plays an important role in increasing HPV immunization acceptance among elementary school students, so it needs to be strengthened through health education and immunization promotion.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with an increasing prevalence and requires treatment adherence to prevent complications. Low treatment adherence among participants of the Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) remains a problem at Selindung Public Health Center, Pangkalpinang City. This study aimed to analyze medication adherence and its associated factors among PROLANIS participants with DM in the working area of Selindung Public Health Center in 2026. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of PROLANIS participants with DM selected using total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with chi-square test, and multivariate analysis with logistic regression. The results showed that most respondents were non-adherent to DM treatment. There were significant relationships between age, gender, education level, occupation, duration of DM, knowledge, family support, and health workers’ support with medication adherence (p<0.05). Knowledge was identified as the most dominant factor associated with medication adherence. This study concludes that improving patient knowledge, family support, and support from health workers play important roles in enhancing medication adherence among PROLANIS participants with DM. Abstract

Patient loyalty is a crucial indicator of hospital service performance, particularly in an era of increasing competition and rising patient expectations for service quality. RSUD Depati Hamzah Pangkalpinang, as a major referral hospital, faces challenges related to service complaints and institutional image, which may influence patient satisfaction and loyalty. This study aimed to analyze the relationships between service quality, hospital image, and patient loyalty, as well as to examine the mediating role of patient satisfaction. This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 385 respondents were recruited using quota sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), with one-tailed hypothesis testing at a 5% significance level. The results showed that service quality was positively and significantly associated with patient satisfaction (p < 0.05), whereas its direct relationship with patient loyalty was not statistically significant. Hospital image was positively and significantly associated with both patient satisfaction and patient loyalty (p < 0.05). Patient satisfaction was also positively and significantly associated with patient loyalty (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the mediation analysis demonstrated that patient satisfaction significantly mediated the relationships between service quality and patient loyalty, as well as between hospital image and patient loyalty. These findings highlight the important role of patient satisfaction in strengthening patient loyalty. Therefore, improving service quality and enhancing the hospital's institutional image, particularly through strategies that increase patient satisfaction, may contribute to building sustainable patient loyalty.
