Background: Cancer is a health disorder caused by the formation of abnormal cells that grow past the normal cell cycle limit and can attack and spread to other parts of the body. In the Theory of Planned Behavior, one's behavior can be influenced by three main aspects, including attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control. The purpose of this study was to estimate perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and subjective norms regarding the use of acupuncture therapy in cancer patients with pain. Subjects and Method: This was a systematic review and meta-analysis. This study uses the PICO model. The meta-analytic study was carried out by searching for articles from databases in electronic form using Google schoolar, PubMed, and Elsevier. Article searches were conducted from 05 February to 10 March 2023. The keywords used were “Theory of Planned Behavior” OR “TPB” AND “Acupuncture” OR “Complemantary Alternative Medicine” AND “Cancer” OR “Pain” AND “Cancer Pain” OR “Cross-Sectional”. The inclusion criteria for this study were complete articles using cross-sectional research, published years from 2007-2022. Analysis of the articles in this study used RevMan 5.3 software. Results: 8 cross sectional studies from North United States and Asia (Korea and Malaysia) were selected for meta-analysis. High perceived benefit (aOR= 1.20; 95% CI= 1.09 to 1.33; p<0.001) and strong subjective norm (aOR= 1.05; 95% CI= 1.01 to 1.08; p= 0.005) increased acupuncture utilization to reduce pain. High perceived barrier reduced acupuncture utilization (aOR= 0.94; 95% CI= 0.91 to 0.97; p < 0.001). Conclusion: High perceived benefit and strong subjective norm increase the use of acupuncture. Strong perceived barrier reduces the use of acupuncture. Keywords: Theory of Planned Behavior, cancer patients with pain, acupuncture therapy

Background: Gender dysphoria refers to discomfort or distress that is caused by a discrepancy between an individual’s gender identity and the gender assigned at birth (and the associated gender role and/or primary and secondary sex characteristics). Gender reassignment surgery is performed to change primary and/or secondary sex characteristics. For a male to female gender reassignment, surgical procedures may include genital reconstruction (vaginoplasty, penectomy, orchidectomy, clitoroplasty) and cosmetic surgery (breast implants, facial reshaping, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, thyroid chondroplasty (laryngeal shaving), voice modification surgery (vocal cord shortening), hair transplants). This study aimed to examine the determinants of cosmetic hormones among transgender in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, using Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB).Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study carried out in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in November 2018. A sample of 201 transgender was selected by snowball sampling and fixed disease sampling, consisting of 67 transgender using cosmetic hormone and 134 transgender not using the cosmetic hormone. The dependent variable was the use of cosmetic hormones. The independent variables were age, knowledge, education, intention, attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norm. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by path analysis. Results: Cosmetic hormone use was directly increased by strong intention (b= 1.65; 95% CI= 0.98 to 2.31; p<0.001), positive attitude (b= 1.15; 95% CI= 0.48 to 1.81; p= 0.001), but decreased by strong perceived behavioral control not to use cosmetic hormone (b= -1.02; 95% CI= -1.70 to -0.34; p=0.003). Cosmetic hormone use was indirectly affected by age, education, locus of control, attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norm, and social norm. Conclusion: Cosmetic hormone use is directly increased by strong intention, positive attitude, but decreased by strong perceived behavioral control not to use the cosmetic hormone. Cosmetic hormone use is indirectly affected by age, education, the locus of control, attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norm, and social norm. Keywords: cosmetic hormone, transgender, Theory of Planned BehaviorCorrespondence: Destinady Kadiser Miden. Background: Consumption of alcoholic beverages is a risk factor for health problems globally. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is very influential on the effect of calmness in people who have anxiety and stress disorders. The effect occurs because alcohol is classified as a psychoactive substance that affects nerves in the brain with the effect of dependence on the dose consumed. This study aims to assess the effect size of stress and anxiety on increased alcohol consumption behavior in early adulthood using a meta-analysis of primary studies conducted by the previous authors. Subjects and Method: This study was a meta-analysis with the following PICO, population: Early adults (18-25 years). Intervention: Stress and Anxiety. Comparison: no stress and no anxiety. Result: Increased Alcoholic Beverages Consumption Behavior. 9 The articles used in this study were obtained from three databases namely Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. The keywords for searching for articles were stress AND (Anxiety OR nervousness OR discomfort) AND ("consumption of drinking alcohol" OR "Alcohol use"). The included articles were full-text English with a cross-sectional study design from 2012 to 2022. Article selection was conducted using the PRISMA flow diagram. Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 app. Results: A total of 9 cross-sectional case studies from Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, and Australia were selected for systematic review and meta-analysis. 7 studies discovered that stress increased alcoholic beverage consumption behavior in early adults by 1.29 times compared to low stress, and the result of the meta-analysis was statistically significant (aOR= 1.29; CI 95%= 1.31-1.47; p< 0.001) with the heterogeneity of I2= 84%, p<0.001. 7 studies of the effect of anxiety on increased alcoholic beverage consumption behavior in early adults showed anxiety increased alcoholic beverage consumption behavior in early adults by 1.59 times compared to low anxiety. The result of the meta-analysis was statistically significant (aOR= 1.59; CI 95%= 1.22-2.07; p= 0.001) with heterogeneity of I2=96%, p< 0.001. Conclusion: Stress and anxiety increased the behavior of alcoholic beverage consumption in early adults.. Keywords: stress, anxiety, alcohol consumption. Correspondence: Windya Kartika Paramita.
