The rapid digital transformation has encouraged Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) to adapt their educational systems while maintaining their distinctive identity in Qur'anic education. Previous studies have predominantly examined the Ummi Method from the perspectives of its implementation and effectiveness in improving Qur'anic reading skills, whereas limited attention has been given to its broader implications for the institutional transformation and sustainability of pesantren in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the role of the Ummi Method in Qur'anic learning and its implications for the transformation of Islamic boarding schools through a Systematic Library Research (SLR) approach. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines by synthesizing peer-reviewed publications on the Ummi Method, Qur'anic learning, Islamic boarding schools, digital transformation, and Islamic education. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and reconstruct theoretical relationships. The findings indicate that the Ummi Method contributes not only to improving Qur'anic literacy through standardized instruction, certified teachers, and continuous quality assurance but also to strengthening institutional quality, digital adaptation, public trust, and the competitiveness of pesantren. The novelty of this study lies in proposing a conceptual model of pesantren transformation that integrates Qur'anic learning, institutional management, and digital innovation. This framework provides theoretical contributions to Islamic education and practical guidance for developing sustainable Qur'anic learning systems in the digital era.
