Abstract

A prototype of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) based TiO2 nanoparticles and mulberry (morrus) extract as dye sensitizer on the ITO glass substrate has been produced. The study aims to determine the difference between the use of gel electrolyte and liquid electrolyte on its influence on DSSC performance. Sandwich cells were made consisting of a working electrode in the form of a conductive glass ITO deposited with TiO2 which was sensitized by a dye of mulberry extract, the opposite electrode in the form of a conductive glass ITO with carbon deposited, and the electrolyte in the middle of the two electrodes were liquid and one was gel. Irradiation was carried out on both samples by lighting halogen lamps. Tested the characteristics of voltage-time and current-time in both samples. The results obtained for higher voltage and current values in samples with liquid electrolytes, but for the period of stability the samples with gel electrolytes showed better performance.

Abstract

In this sonic crystal research, a 1.5 " diameter and 1.1 meters long PVC pipe was used. The panel was designed to have a 3-row square configuration with a filling ratio of 0.5, several pipes are 16 for each row and each pipe was given a hole (perforation) with a radius of holes are 6 mm. The study was conducted with variations in the number of holes 2, 4, 6 and 8 holes and the direction of the angle of the sound source with holes 0, 30, 90, 150, and 1800 . optimal, where the attenuation average is -10.66 dB, while the average attenuation at 00 is -4.0 dB, at 900 is -6.7 dB, at 1500 is -4.0 dB and at an angle of 1800 of -4.4 dB. Besides, the number of holes in this study affects the attenuation of sound and shifting the frequency of resonance, the more holes in the pipe, the greater the decrease in SPL.

Abstract

The church is one of the buildings that has a solemn image and wisdom, so the difference from the sound pressure, the loudness of the sound and the sound journey that will determine the quality and quantity of the resulting sound impact the comfort of each congregation and the purpose of each event.In an effort to meet the standards of a church worship space, this research is aimed at knowing the distribution of parameter values residing in the congregation. The parameters evaluated include the spreading of the sound pressure level, the dispersion of the humming time, the distribution of the sound clarity of D50 (definition) and the C80 (clarity) of the musical sound. In this research, the testing was done in the X church worship room in Surabaya. From the measurement and analysis it is found that the value of noise criteria in the X church worship room is NC 40 s.d NC 45. This value is still above the recommended noise level for the function of the church worship room. The humming time parameter ranges from 0.42 to 0.568 seconds.The C80 value ranges from 2.94 dB to 12.38 dB. So overall the value of the humming time has not met the standard and for the value of C80 still not meet the standard. Meanwhile, for the value of D50 which states the clarity of vowel sounds worth between 36.82% to 86.96% has met the standard at some point, for space with speech function.

Abstract

Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is the third generation of solar cells. DSSC is formed by sandwich structure, there are five parts: ITO glass (Indium Tin Oxide) as substrate; TiO2 as semiconductor material; dye (chlorophyll-turmeric-mangosteen) as an electron donor; gel electrolyte as electron transfer and active carbon as a catalyst in the counter electrode. The synthesis of nanometer-sized TiO2 powder is obtained by coprecipitation method. From the research that has been done, the efficiency of DSSC with 10 µm TiO2 layer thickness bigger than 20 µm and 30 µm layer thickness. The DSSC efficiency result is 0.25% for 10 µm TiO2 layer thickness , 0.143% for 20 µm TiO2 layer thickness, and 0.195% for 30 µm TiO2 layer thickness.
