Abstract

The aim of this study are: (1) to identify the chemical composition of the aluminum cast wheel; (2) to identify the shape of the microstructure in the MIG welding method with preheating treatment and variation of the welding current; (3) to obtain the level of violence before and after welding the MIG method with preheating treatment and welding current variations; (4) to obtain the level of impact toughness before and after welding the MIG method with preheating treatment and welding current variations. The study was conducted by taking specimens from the cast wheel in accordance with the research standards used, then welding the MIG method using the ER4043 electrode with preheating treatment and current variations of 90 A, 100 A, and 110 A. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive data analysis. Analyzing data includes testing the chemical composition, microstructure, price of hardness, impact toughness. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) The chemical composition of the cast wheel is Aluminum (Al) 91.74%, Silicon (Si) 7.62% This cast wheel is a type of aluminum series AA4343; (2) The microstructure of the aluminum cast wheel shows that variations in the welding current will affect the size of the aluminum and silicon grains; (3) The hardness value in raw material specimens is 96 HV while the highest hardness value in the welding area is at 100 A welding current which is 60.2 HV, while the lowest hardness value is at 90 A welding current which is 52.0 HV; (4) The value of impact toughness on raw material specimens is 0.45 J / mm2. The lowest impact toughness value with 100 Amperes current is 0.46 J / mm2 and the highest impact toughness value with 110 Amperes current is 0.52 J / mm2.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine the relationship of the physical environment of the workshop on the learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students  in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo; (2) Determine the relationship of students' work culture on learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students  in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo; and (3) Determine the relationship of the physical environment of the workshop and work culture on the learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students  in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo. This research is a quantitative study, with a research method that is ex-post facto. The variables in this study are the physical environment of the workshop and work culture as independent variables and the learning achievement of machining lathe as the dependent variable. The population in this study is class XI students of the Mechanical Engineering expertise program in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo with 157 students. The sample in this study is 79 people. Retrieval of data used questionnaire and documentation methods. The data obtained were analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are: (1) The physical environment of the workshop has a positive and significant relationship on the learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students  in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo with a effective contribution of 16.6% to the high student learning outcomes (2) Work culture has a positive and significant relationship on the learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo with a effective contribution of 18.3% to the high student learning outcomes and (3) The physical environment of workshop and work culture has a positive and significant impact on learning achievement of lathe machining practices the learning outcomes of lathe machining practices of class IX students  in Vocational High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo with a effective contribution of 34.9% to the high student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Aluminum alloy is one of the non ferrous metals that are widely used in various fields of life including one of the automotive industry. In Indonesia, the automotive industry is currently experiencing rapid development, as indicated by the number of motorized vehicles.there are many aluminium scrap from velg those are not used intensively, so casting is done through the use of aluminium velg. To prevent damage to the piston and to approach the standard, its hardness needs to be increased, namely by adding magnesium by 0.3% and 0.6% as well as artificial aging heat treatment method at a temperature of 155 ˚C with a variation of holding time used are 2 hours and 4 hours. The original piston has a hardness value 87.5 VHN. It turns out that aluminum velg material has a chemical composition of silicon element (Si) of 12.9% which is not in accordance with the A333.0 standard, so it is necessary to add the ADC 12 in casting to make new piston material. Based on the A333.0 standard, the suitable composition is 75% ADC 12 + 25% aluminum velg with a hardness value is 83.2 VHN, but still below from the original piston hardness. After the addition of magnesium and artificial aging the hardness of the new piston material has increased. The hardness of the material is 75% ADC 12 + 25% aluminum velg which has a hardness over the original piston is a material with artificial aging 4 hours with a hardness value is 87.6 VHN, material with the addition of magnesium elements 0.3% and 0.6% as well as artificial aging 4 hours which had a violence value are 88.6 VHN and 90.2 VHN. The process of adding magnesium and artificial aging also affects the metallography of the material, namely the structure and shape of the microstructure becomes more organized and there is a change in grain size.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to know the correlation between the implementation of intracuricular activities in the five-days school program at Vocational High Schools toward students’ work readiness, 2) to know the correlation between the implementation of co-curricular activities in five-days school program at Vocational High School toward students’ work readiness, 3) to know the correlation between implementation of both activities (intracuricular and co-curricular) or five-days school program in Vocational High School toward students’ work readiness. This research was conducted  in Vocational High School State 5 Surakarta. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design because it is aimed to see the level of correlation between independent and dependent variables. Data collection techniques used in this research is questionnaire. Data testing techniques using simple correlation analysis techniques and multiple correlation using the SPSS application program version 25.0. Based on thefinding of the research , it can be concluded that 1) there is a positive correlation and a significant correlation between the implementation of intracuricular activities in five-days school program toward students’ work readiness as proved by the value of rcount = 0.422 > rtable = 0.174 and the significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, 2) based on that there is a positive correlation and a significant correlation between the implementation of co-curricular activities in five-days school program toward students’ work readiness as proved by value of  rcount = 0.622 > rtable = 0.174 and the significance value is 0.00 < 0.05, 3) there is a positive correlation and a significant correlation between both activities ;intracuricular and co-curricular or the five-days school program in Vocational High School toward the students’ work readiness as proved by the value of Fcount = 40.123 > Ftable = 3.07 and the significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. The finding of this research can be selected as a consideration and suggestions for the government in determining and deciding the policy.
