Abstract

A strong and positive organizational culture is believed to create a supportive work environment, increase job satisfaction, and strengthen employee loyalty, thereby reducing turnover rates. This research uses a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of Mikibal Café. The data were analyzed using statistical methods to determine the effect of organizational culture on employee retention. The results indicate that organizational culture has a significant influence on employee retention, meaning that the better the implementation of organizational cultural values such as teamwork, effective communication, and supportive leadership, the higher the employees’ intention to remain with the organization. This study is expected to provide practical implications for the management of Mikibal Café in developing human resource management strategies focused on strengthening organizational culture to improve employee retention and achieve sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which human resource management and career development influence employee performance, with motivation serving as an intervening variable, at the Lima Puluh Kota Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation Agency. Data collection was conducted through surveys and the distribution of questionnaires to a sample of 84 respondents. The analysis method employed was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS. The results indicate a positive and significant influence of human resource management on motivation, and of career development on motivation, at the agency. Furthermore, positive and significant influences were found regarding the impact of human resource management and career development on employee performance, as well as the impact of motivation on employee performance. Finally, the study reveals positive and significant influences of human resource management and career development on employee performance mediated by motivation.
